So sing me a song, tell me you’re not so far away, that I’ll be home some day. Cause now all I see is gray, waving ocean waves.
If I can hear a whisper of your voice carrying on the wind, maybe there’s hope that I can follow, saying I love you still, this way now we’ll see each other again.
There is no space of time, or place or day so long that can get in the way.
Some things are meant to be, and they will be.

So one dark night the stars will break through those dense clouds to shine your way. One foggy afternoon you’ll see clearly at long long last.
On a sunny afternoon we’ll walk long along a warm dirt path, thinking it’s so quiet, the view so majestic in my heart and out stretching to the horizon. If I had only known then that I would be here now. I wouldn’t have worried or stressed, or wondered how far, how much longer, or are we there yet?
If I’d known I’d have said this is a small price to pay.
