A magic door between two completely different worlds.

Chapter 1,
Elizabeth woke from her bed; her dark brown hair messily draped over her. She yawned, her vison still slightly blurry from waking. The sharp ringing of her alarm clock startled her, making her jump back. As her hand slammed on the clock, it silenced, leaving her in peace. The sun still hadn't risen, leaving Elizabeth in the dimness in her room. The floor creaked under her weight as she walked to her bathroom. The light flickered a bit before becoming stable. She opened the drawer embedded in her mirror, pulling out her toothbrush and toothpaste. She ran her toothbrush under the water, still tired. She put the brush in her mouth, staring at herself in the mirror. The toothpaste was minty; almost spicy. As she finished brushing her teeth, the sun had begun to rise.

The warm glow filled the room, illuminating it. Elizabeth grabbed her cloths, changing. She heard shuffling downstairs. It was probably her mother making breakfast. She would have to go down there eventually, facing the truth that she would have to return to school. Oh, that awful school. The kids there were always bullying her because she was the "little rich girl". It's not like she CHOSE to be rich! She would give every expensive thing to just be treated like a normal kid.

"Elizabeth!" Her mother called from downstairs. "Come down for breakfast dear!"

Elizabeth stepped downstairs, seeing her parents and older brother. Her mother was making breakfast, while her father was busy filing paperwork. Her older brother, Roman, was on his phone. She sat down, slumped. "Posture Elizabeth." Her mother corrected, prompting Elizabeth to straighten up. She composed her back, annoyed.

Her mother looked at her, pleased. "Thank you, dear. We cannot have poor posture. We have a reputation to uphold." Elizabeths mother continued her monologue, not even noticing Elizabeth wasn't the least bit interested. The smell of the breakfast was alluring. The sweet smell of homemade pancakes drifting in the air. The savory sent of the bacon creating an orchestra of delectable smells.

"Uhm, Mother? is the food ready yet?" Elizabeth asked, starving. She hadn't eaten dinner yesterday. They had gotten caviar and sushi. Who would want to eat raw fish eggs? It just wasn't her cup of tea.

"Be patient, honey. It's almost done." Her mother replied. Elizabeth sat in her chair, one elbow on the table holding up her head. Her father still hadn't looked up from his stack of paper. Roman was texting someone who Elizabeth could only guess was one of the kids from Romans school. She peered over, trying to get a look at his phone.

"Watch it, Liz." He said, moving his phone away. But she had already seen a few messages. He was talking to someone named Sebbie [short for Sebatian.]. Elizabeth inhaled before looking at her brother.

"Who is that?" she asked. Her parents were still busy with whatever they were doing so they didn't notice the two talking.

Roman looked at Liz, then their parents. "Just... follow me." Roman said, standing up. He started walking towards his room. Elizabeth followed closely. Roman looked before closing his door. She hadn't been in his room much. There were posters on the wall of bands she had never heard of. He also had quite the assortment of plushies on his desk. They were mostly game characters.

Roman sat on his bed, hesitantly opening his phone. "Listen, you can't tell mom and dad, okay?" He asked. Liz nodded her head, eager to see her brother's mysterious secrets. He typed in his password, turning his phone to Liz. She took it from his hand, scrolling through the messages.

He inhaled sharply before speaking again, this time with less confidence. "Sebbie is my-" He paused. "My boyfriend." He said quickly. Liz understood why he didn't want their parents knowing. They had... strict rules on who you could date. Usually, it was arranged.

Roman sat awkwardly. 'So, you're not gonna say ANYTHING? You have nothing to say? I thought you'd at least say something like 'who knew my brother liked guys'. Not a single word?" His phone buzzed. He opened it to see a message from Sebastian. It read "hey Roman! Would your parents let me come over? I'm at my dad's house for the weekend and his girlfriend is so annoying!"

"Yo, you wanna go ask mom if he can come over with me. I'll let you chill with us." Roman said. She nodded, almost sprinting to the kitchen. She almost tripped over her foot because of how fast she was running. She walked up to her mom who was still making breakfast.

"Mom? Can Romans friend come over today?" She asked eagerly.

"Sure, honey. Just don't do anything and make sure you don't break my vase." She answered. She thanked her mother running back to Romans room with a waffle chunk still in her mouth.
