Here you will find my attempts at writing shorter than the longest I've never done. Each novella folds itself into a pocket universe whose borders are measured not by page count but by the distance between heartbeat and silence. They are contraband distillations—plots reduced like absinthe, characters carbonized into sparks, entire worlds that flare once and vanish before the smoke reaches your lungs. Some are love letters to futures that aborted themselves; others are hate mail addressed to gods who never bothered to open their envelopes. All of them refuse to justify their own brevity: they arrive armed, barefoot, and laughing too loud for the funeral parlor of literary respectability.

Read them like you'd read a stranger's diary found on a city bus: quickly, guiltily, with the irrational certainty that every word was meant for your eyes alone. Expect conspiracies between commas, revolutions that fit inside a sneeze, villains who apologize mid-sentence, and heroes who forget their own names. Expect sex that happens in negative space, death that occurs in footnotes, resurrections that take place between the table of contents and the dedication.

These novellas are my exorcisms and my foreplay, my suicide notes and my grocery lists. They are what happens when the novel I never wrote decides to cut its own throat and bleed out in seventeen elegant spasms. Consume them while they're still warm and tasty; they cool fast.
