Let Them Wear Cake

A Drabble (exactly 100 words) that contains the word "cake." Written for 9/5/25.

If there's one thing I hate, it's that moment during a wedding reception when the bride or groom shoves a slice of cake into the spouse's face. Everyone expects it, so why not give them something different? Maybe shove it into his or her own face. Or throw it at someone in the crowd.

Go ahead, call me cynical. But it just irks me. A perfectly good slice of cake. Okay, maybe it's not the healthiest food, but if I'm stranded on a deserted island with nothing to eat but a slice of cake, you can bet I'll eat it.
