A free verse poem. About enduring the consequences of other people's actions.

I was gifted alcohol in my veins before my very first day; and as I arrived died.

So, they fought me back to life until I cried.

Now every day I fight, freeze, flee, and feign to find the will to thank them for the beauty and all the pain.
