A Drabble about percussion

Every rock band has a drummer. Some bands have two, and I presume they're pretty good at synchronizing the beat.

When I was fourteen, I took lessons in summer school, but we used small rubber pads instead of drums.

A few years later I bought a used guitar, and I've owned one or two ever since. But I still prefer drums. I often find myself banging away with my hands - on the arm of the sofa, or a nearby table, or even my leg.

And if someone ever offers me a drum set, you can bet I won't say no.
