Do our echoes outlive us? The piece explores the intersection of death and digital memory

Immortality…perhaps it’s inconspicuously present by its absence. As I scroll through pages of people’s lives- laughter and angst, a mishmash of human consciousness and emotions sprawled across a digital web- I come upon one that makes me pause.

The page looks like any other- seeming random posts about personal opinions, inside jokes, subtle tragedies disguised as wit…looking back at me…nothing betraying that the Page belongs to someone that ceased to be long ago. The words still sit there waiting to be heard and validated. Not telling anyone- the voice has quietened forever.

Here…death imitates life. What’s dead is still alive and will always be
