A poem in HexSonetta form (described below poem)

December with no snow?
That's how it's been this year.
I've not seen tracks of deer,
nor fox or bobcat. Though
once common long ago,
they're pretty rare 'round here.

I sit by fireside
and think of Santa Claus,
and wonder how it was
before my future died
back when I lost my bride
and life was put on "pause."

Come Spring, I'll move along.
For now, I must be strong.

HexSonnetta:
> Quatorzain (14-line poem) made up of 2 sestets followed by a rhymed couplet.
> Metered, iambic trimeter.
> Rhyme scheme abbaab cddccd ee.
> A pivot occurs between the septets.
> The couplet sums up the sestets & provides a solution to the problem set up in them.
