the goals i've set myself to try and reach by the end of the 2026 competition season

In 2026, I will have 9 competitions, three of which are demonstration division comps meaning no scores or trophies but participation medals, but also in 2026 i will have my first world championships the WUMA World Championships in Switzerland, It was supposed to be in Geneva but it might move.

Scores in Kata competitions are given by three judges giving a mark out of 99 added up the maximum score someone can achieve is 297 and the lowest is 210 (70 from each judge) i've split the marking system into three categories Red (Low scores) Yellow (Average scores) and Green (High scores) currently my average sits around 244 since September 2024 but recently it's been 250 which is in the middle of the average score section. By April 2026 i'm aiming to get a score 260 which is an 87 from each of the judges, in the Europeans i got an average of 85, this two point gap should be manageable in 4 months and hopefully by September i can close the gap by 3 points leading to a 90 overall from the judges and a total score of 270.

The WUMA World championships are on the 19th and the 20th of September 2026 and from the 21st of June i'm staring my 'Training Arc' where i will spend around 1–2 hours each day preparing for competitions, to manage and prevent overexertion i will use Monday, Wednesday and Friday for my strength training with Tuesday and Thursday being rest/technical training days with the weekend then as a recovery but i won't be wasting time, on weekends i will use around an hour on Saturdays to go over the footage of my training i've shot and to plan the next week as well as trying to write my blog here. It will be a very heavy 90 days but afterward i can take it a bit more slowly as the competition season doesn't end until November.
