Mantra

A little something I told myself to get back into gear.

I am blocked, but I am writing.
I don’t feel it, but if I keep writing,
I will.
I know I have a story in me;
A poem,
An essay,
A vignette,
An epic saga,
But things get in my way.
I am writing, though
I don’t feel it.
I don’t right now.
Might not later, either.
But in time, I will,
If I press on and just keep writing.
I have many stories in me, but
I let things get in their way.
Right now, I don’t feel them,
Yet, I keep writing.
And now, sure enough,
I’ve written.
