I have been a freelance writer for 15 years. My articles have appeared in "Birds&Blooms," "Mother Earth News," "BackHome," "Backyard Poultry," and "Grit." My photographer-partner and I currently write a monthly nature column for a local magazine. I also write hospital related articles for the community hospital where I work full-time as a medical lab technician. I have an associate's degree in medical laboratory technology. Although I wrote fiction for years I never got published until I switched to nonfiction and immediately sold my first article.
