John Kaess is a science fiction author from Newark, Delaware. A lifelong fan of science, reading, and adventure, he has worked as a Casino Surveillance Technician for over 25 years, developing a sharp eye for detail and the unseen. The concept for Quantum Step first came to him in a dream in 1979, and after decades of imagination, research, and world-building, that vision has become his debut novel. John has been happily married for over 29 years and continues to draw inspiration from the strength of that partnership as he plans more journeys into the world of science fiction.
