I've been on this site since 2012, but it's only now that I'm starting to post on it. Why wait so long? One may as well ask why have I waited since junior high--about 35 years--to pursue writing seriously, for the answer, I think, is the same: depression (which leads to inactivity), fear of failure, a dislike of work. And what leads me now to want to pursue it again? A desire to create, to think, to tell stories and communicate emotions, plus (and at this moment, most importantly) a desire for a source of income that will eventually pay, or at least give me something fulfilling to do. I grew up in Eugene, Oregon. I've lived here all my life.
