I've been writing since I can remember, but I've always been skittish about showing my work to other people. I like just about every genre, but I prefer horror or sci-fi. Some of my favorite authors are Vonnegut, Frank Herbert, Bukowski, Clive Barker, Kafka, Orson Scott Card, H.P. Lovecraft, Poe...and many others!
