This type of Book is good for...
A deep dive into the life of a Nigerian woman, both in her native country and in America where she calls herself a Non-American Black.
I especially liked... | ||
This book provides a great perspective on race in America from the POV of a black woman who is part of it by virtue of the color of her skin but also apart from it because she was not born in America. I loved her blog posts, detailed at the end of most chapters.
I didn't like... | ||
It was a little long in spots. The details were great, but some of the conversations dragged on.
This Book made me feel...
Like I had a good understanding of her point of view especially when it came to race issues.
I recommend this Book because...
Books that grab and hold my attention are always aces in my world. I will read other books by this author.
