Summary of this Book...
This book is a cross between metaphysical and holistic healing, as well as a physical transformation, spiritual awakening, and psychological mending. Curandero means healer. An unexpected meeting happens when Samantha is walking her dog, Dreamer, on the beach. She runs into a man who looks to be homeless or an addict, because he was emaciated and unhealthy-looking. But as she gets to know him, she realizes just how wrong her first impressions were. Stefan, she learned, was dying. He had given up on being healed and had accepted the seemingly inevitable. Enter Dr. Calderon. With Samantha's perseverance, she finally persuades Stefan to meet with him. Dr. Calderon uses a holistic approach to healing, along with indigenous wisdom and metaphysical practices, where he leads Stefan on a journey that will have him changing everything he knows and is accustomed to. We follow Stefan as he changes his living standards, healing beliefs. We see the philosophical challenges as they take him on a journey of visions, rituals, and truths that bring him to his knees, as he grapples with his views spiritually and scientifically. The story explores trauma and the integration of the soul, where we realize physical healing can happen, once the emotional, mental, and spiritual healing happens. That an holistic approach to becoming whole and healthy relies on the healing of all aspects of one's self. We also experience how negative relationships can weave themselves into and affect one's sense of worth. Thereby, also affects overall health. The reader also gets an inside look at how much healing relationships between animals and humans can be. Such unconditional love adds an important layered effect on happiness and overall health.
