Summary of this Book...
This is an alt-world story about a wolf-shifter who deserted the military and a princess who's actually an amazing mechanic. It's about how they both get roped into going on a special mission for the regent with a unit of misfits. It's about a bunch of "green" rangers who grow into a family and succeed at their mission against the odds. It's about so much more. There's political intrigue, danger everywhere, lots of action and adventure, and a little romance.
I recommend this Book because...
It's a nice introduction to the Steampunk genre for readers who may have been wary giving Steampunk a shot. To me, Steampunk is a fantasy/adventure novel with lots of gears. It also has great characters who grow and change while constantly trying to keep each other alive. There's mystery about the monsters that might be lurking in the long grass, and places where I held my breath at the suspense.
Further Comments... | ||
This is an all-around fun read. It's not too dark, but there's lot of danger. The mech and magic of the world is intriguing. And the characters are well-portrayed, with clear personality and voices. Nothing flat about this read.
