So frustrated! I am a little fanatical about saving my work in multiple locations, so I don't lose anything. While I've been recuperating from my eye issue, I've been sporadic about my computer usage. I spent a significant amount of time last week working on a character profile, and then I apparently saved something else over it? I don't know . . . still getting used to the way Windows 10 does things when I save a document, but I went to open the profile and . . . it was a different document altogether. *Cry* All of that work is gone. I was waiting to save it in my Port until I'd had a chance to fill in some of the gaps (eye strain took me away from the computer before I could do that) so it's not there either.

Also I've gotten myself so disoriented by not working directly on the computer, and saving my Prep to my Port as soon as I've written it! I have one assignment that had the wrong date on it. I can't find another assignment altogether and now I can't remember whether I actually wrote it or not. It may be in my notebook somewhere but I didn't type it up. And the assignment with the wrong date has the date of the one I can't find. Gah! Working in a notebook is not for me.
Found the missing assignment (from 2nd paragraph) in my notebook! Woot! That character profile I had done on the computer though.

Let me get through my work week first. Then we'll prep for prep.

I'm all signed up. Going to find out if the prep works as well for a play as it does for a novel since I'm finishing up Liar for actual NaNo but didn't want to skip prep...

I AM OVER THE MOON EXCITED RIGHT NOW!!!

Back in October of 2015, I started working on a writing project. I got about 2/3 of the way through the first draft during NaNoWriMo in November 2015, and stalled. I continued working on it for NaNoWriMo 2016, but again I stalled. I was determined to get the first draft finished before October, so I could begin Prepping for this year's project.

I did it! Today I finished the first draft of Like It or Not, my YA contemporary retelling of Shakespeare's As You Like It!

It needs a lot of tweaking, but it's FINISHED!

YAY, Mums! Super mega excited for you!

Just registered for an Adult Ed Creative Writing class given by our local Parks and Rec . . . it overlaps with NaNo. This should be interesting. *Shock*
Sure . . . but not toward my story. Hopefully I'll be able to incorporate some of the assignments into my NaNo project, but either way, Imma be a busy bee!

Aaaand just decided we're going to Philly for Thanksgiving, because we got an invite to a Bar Mitzvah that Saturday! So extra challenges . . . wheeee! *Laugh*

according to Chris Baty, anything you write counts toward nano. So any assignments given that you work on still count toward your word count on nano

A little wordplay for my writer friends:

"Gin and djinn are pronounced the same way. Both are spirits in a bottle."
I wrote a story once involving a djinn. The end has proven too subtle (or too stupid; sometimes it's hard to tell) for most. "The Wish [13+]

Stop the presses!

I WROTE! *Shock*

Okay, it was only 400 words, but I WROTE! *Laugh* And I'm so close to the finish line for Like It or Not! *flails*
Okaaaay ... so I posted a thing on Facebook, and for whatever reason, my mom decided that she needed to tell me what was wrong with the way I worded it. Repeatedly. *Facepalm*

Do I know any physicians (oncology experience preferrable) who are interested in working for a pharmaceutical company in the Bay area? Great company, great co-workers. Working with Bob a plus!

Apparently I was asking the wrong question. I'm ... flabbergasted. Irritated. Baffled. Is the question in any way unclear? Is the desired outcome unclear?
This question should be legit on Facebook. Because you don't know the someone with that kind of experience is among your friends and you were asking people you knew.

i argue she is uselessly nitpicking.
