It's Creation Saturday!
Prompt for March 8, 2014
It's Saturday! Did you get to sleep in? Make a few creative excuses for why you were able to sleep in this morning. If you didn't get to sleep in, what woke you up?

Got to sleep in since I am visiting a friend and we were up late at a birthday party. Fun times. Creative excuses why? ....coming up blank.

------------------
What property (book, comic, toy, etc.) would you love to see adapted for the screen? Movie or TV, and why?
NOTE: You don't need an IMDB link for this entry (unless you can find one), but please link to something else... Amazon product page, Wiki page, etc. if you can find one so we can learn more about your dream movie/show! Smile

If you followed me back in January you know I have a special place on my bookshelf for Lynsay Sand's Argeneau Vampire series.
http://www.lynsaysands.net/books/index.html#argeneau
I would prefer a series of movies but the less action-y non enforcer (think vampire police) may be better served as TV dramas. Nothing wrong with a mix of TV and movies right?

March 8, 2014: If you could relive one moment from yesteryear what would it be?

Yesteryear? That the same as saying 'the past'?
Ok I googled for specificity:

yes·ter·year
ˈyestərˌyir/Submit
nounliterary
1.
last year or the recent past, esp. as nostalgically recalled.
"return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear"

Ah, the 'recent past'. Ummmm,....hmmm. Relive, not 'change', ok that changes things. I'd like to relive...I'd have to say a church experience. Specifically a Grief small group meeting at church. That's probably says volumes about how 'exciting' my life's been lately, but hey, it was a great meeting. We all shared pictures of our lost ones and it's just great to see people get the help we all need and to help each other in the process.

March 7, 2014: Describe the last time you were moved to tears by something beautiful.

I find the older I get, the easier it is to well up over beautiful things. It happens often when kids, music, and acts of humane decency are a focal point. Last time was actually due to Moody Blue: Needs an Upgrade 's response to the news prompt: "Invalid Entry. As mentioned in "2 -Sunday Movie News Review and The Quills!.
There's something cathartic in just letting yourself go and enjoy the sometimes inexplicable feelings of joy and relief that comes from a breath of fresh and innocent air.

Prompt: Write about a television show that, love it or hate it, went (or is currently going) on for way too long.

Ha, nice follow up.
Anything with the Kardashians. I realize they are becoming a bit of scapegoat, so I'll also throw in the Jersey Shore and now Two and Half Men without Crazy Sheen.

O yea, and just about every soap opera still living.

PROMPT: Who is your evil twin? Write about the mischievous deeds that he/she has done today.

Great prompt. My doppelganger came out after my good twin actually got 'some' work done. Bad twin didn't make certain obligatorily familial phone calls and wasted hours on watching News Radio reruns on YouTube....

This winter just does not end! It's been going on for over 400 days. Write about it: what is causing it, what can you do about it, how are you handling it, etc.

400 Days?! My, you are practically at the equator no? This was a hard winter, no doubt. But I'm not surprised because last winter (least in SE Ohio) was fairly mild. Granted global warming's on the tip of most peoples minds and that's likely at least a small part of it, but I don't believe my carbon footprints' gonna slow that down much.
I'm still a fan of recycling and all that responsible living, but electric cars are too expensive and I've no time (or need) for compost.
IOweatherN: I'm done with the snow for this year but it can stay cold for all I care, just NO MORE SNOOOW!

Mac or PC? (One word answers aren't interesting to read, so please expand on your opinion Smile )

Oi, like most things I refuse to be black/white on this. I needs parameters.

If I could only have one desktop: Mac
I love design and Apple OS is ideal for the creative mind.

If I could have only one laptop: PC
The ideal behind the personal computer is versatility and transportility (made it up, but you get the point). While not the most secure OS (probably because Windows has just gotten plain lazy and sees themselves as #1 without any need to drastically improve. Like a ridiculously attractive human that gets by on looks and so never has to develop a meaningful personality. Even they get old after a while.
Basically, I still would want a windows laptop because for all their shortcomings they aren't completely greedy in that just about any and all soft/hardware is compatible with a PC, can't say that about a single Apple product. Honestly, I am so sick of iTunes.
Guess subconsciously I choose sloth over greed any day.....

Only one tablet/phone: Android
This is basically Windows/PC and for the same compatibility reasons. Plus androids aren't overpriced AS overpriced as Apple products that perform the exact same functions.

Tell us about an unexpected gem; something you've seen and love that you doubt many other people know about.

Hmmm, this is a good one. There are so many, but then what I like can be a little off kilter sometimes.

Instead I'm going to go with a classic that many my age probably know and remember, but older and younger generations probably glanced right over it. A Little Princess (1995).
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113670/

Not to be confused with Temples "The Little Princess" (1939), which I've never seen.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0031580/

A Little Princess is a magical fairy-tale grounded in reality. The harshness of war, the plight of orphans, and the hardships of just being a human girl. They are all addressed and as is needed from time to time, there's a happy ending. Love this movie and consider it a classic American gem on par with The Secret Garden (1993).
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108071/?ref_=nv_sr_1

IOmovieN: I just watched The World's End!
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1213663/ and "The World's End (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD UltraViolet)"
I liked it. Ever since Shaun of the Dead   I've always enjoyed the Simon Pegg/Nick Frost duo. Martin Freeman was back in this one as well. It satisfies my thirst for live action/sci-fi adventure without being gory. The language aside (which honestly just sounds funny half the time with the British accents) it was light and hilarious at portions throughout the well choreographed fight scenes (relatively speaking of course) but still managed to throw in some 'serious' life lessons regarding alcoholism and fear of growing up.
High on my list of love for this film was the action portrayal of Nick Frost as a big guy with moves! He was keeping up with, and at times beating, the lil guys, further proof that size does NOT always equal slow.
Love the classic British style of plot before fun. I was seriously beginning to think I had imagined the alien/robots from the trailer since it was nearly a hour into the film before the action started.
From the graphics to the plot, this movie did what Stiller attempted to in "The Watch" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1298649/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1).

Can officially scratch that off the list "2 -Sunday Movie News Review and The Quills!

Also watched Monster's University yesterday. Not as good as the first one but Pixar did not disappoint with their first ever Prequel.

Thanks to previews and extras, adding to list:
Machete Kills - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2002718/

What is something you did as a kid that you still enjoy doing today? Or, what is something you did as a kid that you wish you could still do today?

Play games, whether of the board variety or tag outdoors, play is always an important part of life.

What was the last movie you saw in a theater?

Been waiting for this. The Book Thief in the dollar theater. I know you get what you pay for but the projector was messed up and had a really loud technical problem that I just could not get over since most of the movie's so quite. Plus I was tired. So unfortunately I had to walk out on that one. First time in ever though so that's not so bad...The hour I so I did watch was pretty good though, I'm excited to rent the BluRay when it's out.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0816442/

Last one I can remember seeing all the way through was Catching Fire....though that doesn't seem right, didn't Iron Man 3 come after? If yes, then that one...

March 5, 2014: You get to spend one hour with
any person you choose - living or dead. Who is it? What
do you talk about? What do you hope to learn from them?

Hmmm, so many options, since I mentioned 6 live ones in "28: Creative Room and Dinner for Six I want to talk to someone dead....
I choose Phil Hartman. Don't ask me why, call it a spur of the moment insane choice if you will. Part of me wants to save his life from his homicidal wife, the other part just wants to talk to his ghost and find out all the behind the scenes drama. We'd talk about his shows and films, particularly News Radio, and his personal life. I hope to learn what makes him tick as a comedian and to see if/what the warning signs were.

It's War Chest Tuesday!

Prompt for March 4, 2014

There are many new, fantastic changes happening around WDC. What thrills you about the community we call Writing.com? On a broader note, what does Writing.com mean to you? How would you "sell" a community like ours to a writer friend of yours who is looking for a good writing site?

Reminds me of the spiel of a comment I left on sitejabber a little while back. http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.writing.com
Said it all there.

----------------------------
Today is the beginning of Mardi Gras.
Have you ever been? What do you think of the festivities? If you did go, what carnival costume would you pick? If you live else where are there similar festivities?Inquiring minds want to know *Bigsmile*

Nope, afraid I never have. My best friend Tiffany is from Mobile, AL apparently the original site of Mardi Gras. She really wants me to visit and I really want to but alas, money issues.
No costumes for me, just good ol' drinkin' and people watchin'.

----------------------------
Write about an extremely popular movie or television show that you just can't get into. Why is it a miss for you?

Walking Dead. Haven't even given it a chance because while I can stomach zombie movies, I'm not that interested in an ongoing gory death scenario.

Did you watch the Oscars? Tell us about a time in your life that was worthy of being made into a movie/TV show/novel/short story.

I did not watch the Oscars, instead I spent a majority of my Sunday at The Quills! Time well spent, "2 -Sunday Movie News Review and The Quills!.
I'll avoid the obvious "my entire life is worth it's length in made for TV movies". Though it's true. I'll single out my college years as the most interesting thus far. All the people I met and some of the things I did.... Those years are probably tied with my preteen years of 10-14, starting with right before my parents separated, but that wasn't the best of times....

----------------------------
Which past TV show was canceled or otherwise ended WAY too soon?

Good question.....I suppose the Cosby Show and even Fresh Prince lasted long enough.....there are a ton of shows that only last a season or two though....can't think of them off the top. Time for some research I suppose.

O! News Radio was another good one! Just wasn't quite the same after Phil Hartman passed....

Prompt: March 3, 2014: Tell us about the last thing you got excited about — butterflies-in-the-stomach, giggling, can’t-wait excited.

Cute prompt. Sadly it was probably over my new job. I was so thrilled, more so than I ever thought possible in preparation for a corporate contract. Alas, all good things come to an end....I enjoyed the feeling while it lasted.

I did experience all those things, minus 'can't wait' when I got a Valentine's card in the mail from a friend of mine. I forgot my debit card at his house and he mailed it back to me with a personalized card of his own that fits our relationship so well, so that's a better one. *Smile*

The Sunday News!
Prompt for March 2, 2014
Provide your thoughts/opinions on a newspaper/magazine article or a radio/television news story from the past week.

Taking a bit of creative license, haven't watched the news much and can't remember the last newsy article I read about recent events, but these two stories are news worthy.

I first heard about it from The Bert Show   but it's quickly gaining traction amongst WDCers also. See "Note: [Link to Note #147534] This is a MUST for ALL poe..." and Note #147534.

14 yr old Jordan Nichols   best answered Jaeff | KBtW of the Free Folk 's Emily 's question from last month ("20: Generation Z Haiku): How do you predict people of the future will remember the reputation of the generation of teens living today?

Well, give us about 50,000 more Jordans and they just might become "the peak of mankind".

Second, also spawned by TBS I haven't seen a single episode but I know all about the failure of this season's Bachelor. Now an up and coming Atlanta Lawyer that was a contestant is going to be the next Bachelorette.

This is interesting to me as I come from Atlanta and because there's been lots of controversy surrounding her "dumbing down" on the show. Fact is, I know a ton of women who dumb down and sell themselves short in general just to impress a guy. I doubt she'll do that on her season. Here's hoping she doesn't come across as a colossal dog because of it. Shame but it's hard for females in the public eye to be accurately portrayed as effectively walking that line between deservedly confident and egotistically b*t3hy.....

Moody Blue: Needs an Upgrade made me cry and hate war even more with "Invalid Entry. Myles looks SO like his dad, yet another fallen soldier that never saw his baby grow up......

UPDATE: Hold the press. New amazing news update: http://blackdoctor.org/426701/couple-loses-over-500lbs/7/
I've always wanted a man to do this with. *tear* I'm soooo happy for them!!!!!

In honor of the Oscars tonight, talk about your favorite movie from last year (2013).

My local dollar theatre   is playing the Oscars for free tonight! I should go, but probably wont....

Thanks to Shaye for reminding me of Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World in "Invalid Entry. I love X-Men but The Wolverine movie, though entertaining enough, just annoyed me. I am PUMPED for X-Men Days of Future Past  !!! Love me some young Prof. X, not sure if I dig Storms new Kate Gosselin haircut   though....

Full list of movies I enjoyed enough to mention: Star Trek: Into Darkness, HG:Catching Fire, After Earth, Now You See Me, This Is The End, Ender's Game, Escape Plan (was ok), Epic, The Croods, Despicable Me 2, 47 Ronin, The Best Man Holiday, The Lone Ranger (actually pretty lame but Depps fun to watch), Grown Ups 2 (again so-so), PJ: Sea of Monsters (was afraid the 1st one sucked too bad for another to be made so quickly, not great, but glad they made it), WW Z (not my fav zombie movie but Pitt's always fun to look at), White House Down (HILARIOUS), The Internship (cute), Olympus Has Fallen, Warm Bodies (amazing in that it truly surprised me), H&G: Witch Hunters (cute, fun action choreography), Red 2

HOLD!

That's my favorite, right there.
I love my superheros but I'm giving it to Red. I didn't know Red was based off DC Comics. In line with Batman and The Punisher, there's much to be said about superheros without super powers. Just everyday peeps running around kicking butt and not caring about names. I PRAY that I'm as virile as Willis, Malkovitch, Mirren, Hopkins, and Freeman when I'm their ages!!! Seriously, Helen Mirren is my hero! Want to be like her when I grow up: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1821694/

List continued: Grudge Match (meh), Oz The Great and Powerful (graphics were nice, china doll story line was cute, but not so great overall), G.I. Joe: Retaliation (about as good as the 1st one, not very memorable but worth the watch), R.I.P.D., Redemption (best Statham movie of the year), Hangover III (funny, but glad that's over), Identity Thief, A Good Day to Die Hard (no such thing as too much Bruce W.), The Call, and I'm done.

I waded through the first 200 out of 8,729 titles from 2013. http://www.imdb.com/search/title?year=2013,2013&title_type=feature&sort=moviemet...

There are also a ton of movies I still want to see from last year.
Other lists: http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-news/25-best-movies-2013-073214602.html

Update: How could I forget A Madea Christmas?! Forget imdb's 4/10 I loved it, especially considering Witness Protection was a major flop, and applaud T. Perry for attacking the interracial marriage elephant in the proverbial room called planet earth.
O yes, and The Heat! Forgot what that was for a sec, I love McCarthy and was somewhat braced for the overt profanity, but I expected better from the duo. Something on par with the Fey/Phoeler Baby Mama movie. Then again they've been working together for years so.... Almost a shame Miss Congeniality was better. Not because Miss Congeniality wasn't amazing, but because you had 2 powerhouses in this one.
O o yea, and Gangster Squad was pretty good! Sean Penn was amazing as usual. It just baffles me how one man can play such a range of characters. From a gay man, to a mentally handicapped dad, to one of the most notorious gangsters of all time?! Nice.
Dang, Snitch was good too! Not my fav Dwayne Johnson role, but he's still pretty to look at.
The list totally changes when you organize it by "US Box Office"!

Since I been wanting to see Gravity, I put it on my holds list for my library....I'm #114 out of 12 available copies. Yep, it's probably that good.
Other holds
#50/12 for Frozen - it isn't even out yet! Totally thought I'd get the jump.....
#17/12 for Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug
Anchorman 2 isn't up yet so I'm #12/2 for the first one. I only saw it once and don't remember much....figure it'll be good for a chuckle or two.
#4/12 for Cloudy WACOM 2 - that's right, I love animation, what of it!?
#24/8 for Elysium
#4/8 for Kick-Ass 2
Available: The World's End "6 - Snow, OS', and Princesses

Church Prompt:
Fellowship vs. Showmanship
Yes some ppl (like me) get excited when they speak that does NOT mean they should not be listened to. You can't control how some one speaks to you, but you CAN control how you accept or even if you accept what they are saying.

Granted that overtly "Gospel preaching" read as 'yelling' can become farsical and perceived as "over the top" but you can't it's very dangerous to automatically discredit/ignore those types of speakers.

Quill Stuffs: CONGRATS TO ALL THE QUILL AWARD WINNERS!!!!
The 7th Annual Quill Awards Ceremony  (13+)
Recognizing quality work and community service in 2013, to be held 2 March 2014 at 1pm
#1975906 by Elle - on hiatus

blainecindy did a marvelous job today:
Blogs are like online journals and writers have been keeping journals for hundreds of years. The oldest recorded journal can be traced back to 56 AD China. In 1994 the journal morphed into the online diary. No longer was the diary kept under lock and key (blainecindy-Going to Quills! )

It was there on the internet, right out in the open, for all the world to see. Ever since 1994 what was once known as the online diary, we now know as the blog. The blog is not only just a journal, but it is also an actual conversation. (blainecindy-Going to Quills! )

Not only do we write, but we can also communicate with each other. So it's not surprising why the blog is so popular in today's society. In the past couple years, the blogging community of WDC has flourished, and I'm so excited and proud to be part of it.

And glad there was a Reviewing award. PatrickB said it well:
A Writing.com review is an opportunity for a member to give important and critical feedback about a fellow member's work. (PatrickB )

But it also increases the reviewer's own ability to recognize techniques, discover flaws, and present this information to the author in a constructive way that honors the mandate of honest, encouraging, and respectful criticism. (PatrickB )

Additionally, a Writing.com review is judged as a piece of creative writing itself by an audience of other authors/reviewers, and has a great capacity to influence the process of reviewing. (PatrickB )

In response to "Note: Get pumped for the Quills! [Link: 'https://ww..." I enjoyed listening, not only to Matt Bird MSci (Hons) AMRSC 's two YouTube videos but to Hans Zimmer during the Quills   as well.

Overall, quite a success, WDC is truly fortunate to have Andrew as an engaged member!

It's Creation Saturday! Prompt for March 1, 2014 - Write for fifteen minutes using "I used to think..." as your starter.

I used to think I was special, something to be treasured.
I used to think she was the best, against nothing could she be measured.

I used to think I knew what I wanted to be, without question, worry or fail.
I used to think he would want me, but that came to no avail.

I used to think anything was possible, regardless of the proof.
I used to think I knew what I thought, but that was just a spoof.

Dunno why that melodrama just spewed forth from me muse. Probably because unemployment has reared its God awful head again and along with the funds, my patience is running very thin....
I believe this is what faith's about...believing in the unseen, or unheard, like a call for an interview of sorts. Any sorts! O geez, 15 whole minutes of this? I took this test for the UK based Proofreading company. I think I did well and it was real interesting stuff. It was one of them hoity-toity research papers on how people learn or something. Girls vs. boys and all that, only it turns out sex don't matter, it's how the individual learns. I coulda told you that and with out the page long bibliography. Though we can't ignore girls predominantly lean towards reading and boys math/science; there are of course millions of exceptions to every rule.

Hope I get it, I just need to do something....anything......6 minutes.....good thing I started early and began this Friday night, I'll pick up again tomorrow, maybe I'll even have another poem ready to go *Pthb*

Write about a movie or television series that terrified you as a kid and still gives you the creeps today.

Children of the Corn - MALACHI! He wants you! *shudder*
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087050/?ref_=nv_sr_1

I've never liked horror, ever. I don't understand being scared for fun.... But I was 12/13 or so? Think it was summer break and amidst channel surfing I see a movie with kids as the main characters. Hadn't seen that since Lord of the Flies so I gave it a chance. First scene I saw was the diner scene where kids dad/granddad? get chopped up right in front of him. I was morbidly hooked. Think I watched the rest of it.

I remember getting up to use the restroom that night. We had a nice sized house so the hallway from my bedroom door seemed to go on for ever. The walkway was suspiciously eerie and didn't seem very well protected. It was too 'out in the open'. I remember thinking if I went to the bathroom something might jump up the steps and around the corner and snatch me. Of course I heard all types of things too. It was horrible.

I don't have cable so haven't come across the movie lately, but for years afterwards if I came across it I would visibly twitch. But I'm proud to say I can still watch the end without the willies. That red head so gets what he deserves!!!

Update: Searching for COTC on IMDB and I didn't know there were multiple movies! Creepy....

I used to think I was strong, then unemployment made me weak;
I used to think I was intelligent, "family" says 'I'm a geek'.

I used to think I knew the answer, about why death made us grieve;
it wasn't till I lost my Dad, I realized enlightenment is harder to achieve.

I used to think that I was happy, then I started typing this poem;
in the interest of a forced rhyme, I'll end this song with: home.

Haha! There are no rules in free-verse! Bet you didn't see that coming, I wrote it and didn't.....

------------------
HAHAHA! Diane 's post "Scary Movies just reminded me that the VERY first movie to ever creep me out was none other than Beauty and the Beast! I was only 5 when it came out and I vividly remember the creepy mansion gate scene at night in the rain and the beast's roar was terrifying in the movie theater, add in some evil villagers with fire and pitchforks and I hated that movie well into my late teens and early 20s. I can watch it fine now, but it's still my least favorite Disney movie.....

Also, The Lion King didn't scare me but Mufasa falling to his death definitely scarred me. I still have a hard time watching that scene and more often than not will just skip over it.....

She tried to bring the big guns but mine were bigger...since I'm on the side of right.

Why am I playing the 'numbers game'? Because I've been unemployed for 4 wks thanks to W Company/I Company.

I don't blame W Company or I Company for the contract ending early, that's just business.

I do blame I Company for not keeping on touch with me. Marie, a Sr. Recruiter at I Company was the last of about 4/5 ppl I spoke with at the end of January when my contract ended.
She was borderline rude during our first discussion when she was trying to assess all of my skill and abilities, but I chose to ignore it. I needed a new job fast.

She NEVER contacted me again after that UNTIL 4 weeks later and the W Company job posts back up.

During our convo she admits that she dropped the ball and should have stayed in better contact with me. She should have let me know there are no current Ohio openings and should have asked me if I would be willing to relocate. She admitted that while W Company is their biggest Ohio client, they are not their only client. I'm 27 single and no kids, I am willing and able to move anywhere and do anything. However, she never took the time to ask me the necessary questions and fight for me. Which would have been the least she could do considering they marketed W Company at 6 months and I lost it after only 3.

But you know what, she's a busy woman, who's only interested in her next juicy commission. I get it. Nothing personal, just business.

------------------
I spoke with a recruiter at around 3:15 pm on 02/24/2014. After a short negotiation he informed me that the max he could offer me was $21/hr. I told him to e-mail me the right to represent. I went to check my e-mail and saw that a recruiter from F Company wanted to offer me the same position. I also had a missed call from him (fact check). I decided to call F Company and let them know that I Company already contacted me. Then F Company offered me $22 to work with them.

Hmmm, I've been unemployed for 4 weeks and I Company didn't give a shit about me then, sure, why not work with a different recruiting firm? Maybe/hopefully they'll treat me better.

Being the nice lady I am I politely responded to both I Company reps and told them I'm no longer interested. I Company quickly responded with "we can do $22 too!"
Too late ladies! I've no interest in staying with I Company unless you up-sale me. Honestly, I'm rather glad they could not go any higher; I'm still hurt and agitated with Marie's lack of communication after I was laid off.

Marie sends me a cryptic email:

Please give me a call

ASAP

I will discuss this with you in detail and you will be happy.

O how wrong she was. I politely explained to Marie, when she finally let me get a word in edgewise. She's quite the talker/saleswoman. I could tell right away she's used to getting her way and was clearly taking me for granted and assumed I was too dumb to know it. I told Marie I would not be using I Company this time around unless the price went up because I was personally affronted by her lack of interest in my plight 4 weeks prior.

This is when she admitted she dropped the ball on that one. I agreed and earnestly thanked her for the apology, but unfortunately an apology doesn't help my financial situation that has worsened, due to lack of a stable job, over the past 4 weeks.

Then she tried to start strong-arming me. First she's like "Well with us you'll work with the same people!" Yea well I gave F Company my W Company supervisor's name so I'll be working with the same people anyway.

Then she pulled out the mega gun. "I don't want this to sound offensive but I should let you know that you signed a 6 month contract with us saying you would not work with another agency regarding W Company."

*SCREAAACH!* Hold on, how DUMB do you think I am lady?! You NEGATED said contract with I lost my job after only 3 of those 6 months! And so I told her while laughing in her face: "Are you kidding? That agreement ended when that contract ended. You're trying to tell me that even though I haven't been working I still owe you something?! PUHLEASE! Look, I gotta be honest, I'm feeling heated and that's not like me. I need to take a breather."

And from there Marie knew she was licked and didn't have even a stub of a leg to stand on.

If I Company tries to take legal action I will REVEL in contacting all local news stations and starting a laywoman's campaign. Lobbyists eat that stuff up. I'm a writer who's got the scent of a passionate and inflammatory story in my nose, don't try me.

Update:
Further proof I Company treats their employees like numbers: Marie just sent ANOTHER email at 5:11pm AFTER our little heated discussion. If she was smart and cared about my feelings at all she would have removed me from her mass e-mail list of Ohio contacts. Thank you Ms. Bantin for further proving my point.

@Amtrak Have you guys had any Technical Writers/Authors/Editors take a residency right yet?!!? I'm 27 and a Creative Writer at heart.

FB Post: Have you guys had any Technical Writers/Authors/Editors take a residency right yet?!!? I'm 27 and a Creative Writer at heart but a reluctant Tech Writer by day. I love editing but only writing technical jargon get's rather mundane at a most expedient rate....I have no ties to where I'm at meaning I will stay on that train and blog my brains out for as LONG as you'll let me. I can leave tomorrow, just tell me what weather to pack my bags for!!!!

--------------------------------
This would be sermon/speech keeps rattling in my brain; it's a WIP.

Dear Lord,

Please guide my tongue and strengthen my heart
so that Your Love comes through in this conversation.

Key speaking points

I have problems with my weight but over the years I have become ery self possessed and know how to manage it.

I'm not stupid but I'm also not Mensa material.
I have always been 'mature'/smart for my age, but around college it caught up with me and now I'm maintaining a slightly above average IQ
not b/c I'm 'better' than anyone else but I naturally put an emphasis on academics and knowledge,
I made straight A's in HS but the Junior boy in Geometry w/ me wasn't dumb he was just lazy (and nasty b/c he dipped and spit into sprite bottles EVERY day, YUCK!)

I am a hard worker and at one point was independent.
Given a good job I never have to ask for financial assistance.
God did not TAKE my job from me, but being unemployed has shown me a way to be strong in Him.
I have discovered that while some ppl wrap themselves up in how pretty or smart they are, I wrap myself up in my accomplishments or lack there of.
