| Prompt: What was your favorite family outing? Did you go somewhere? What made it special to you? Dinner and a movie are the classics, always a great time and fun to chat about. But after tonight I'mma add the Casino to that list. Took Mom for the first time this Mother's Day and we just went tonight. I lost my $10 but it was still fun! |

If you've rented/bought a Disney/Pixar movie in the past 3-4 years you've seen (or rather heard) this before. The deep overhead voice comes in and narrates all the action that is without dialogue. I gotta be honest, Goodnight Moon is my FAVORITE baby book of all time!!! | t's War Chest Tuesday. Here's the prompt- July 1: What does forgetting mean to you? Literally it means 'to not remember something/someone' Google defines: for·get fərˈget/ verb fail to remember. "he had forgotten his lines" synonyms: fail to remember, fail to recall, fail to think of; More antonyms: remember inadvertently neglect to attend to, do, or mention something. "she forgot to lock her door" synonyms: neglect, fail, omit More put out of one's mind; cease to think of or consider. "forget all this romantic stuff" synonyms: stop thinking about, put out of one's mind, shut out, blank out, pay no heed to, not worry about, ignore, overlook, take no notice of; More Unfortunately a lot of people think I 'forget' about them because I don't call much....often....or at all. But that's just because I don't like talking on the phone! There is a minuscule amount of folks I have actually forgotten, and they are usually of the celebrity status. Only reason I remember a celeb right now is if they are in a ton of movies I really like and/or have seen recently. Out of sight, out of mind. -------------------------------------------------------------- In your opinion, what is the best 21st century romance film and why? (If you haven't seen a romantic movie in the past 14 years, then use a 21st century book - and get out to the movies soon!) I hate sappy romance movies, too much drama. I'll take a delightful Supernatural RomCom anyday, which is why I skip choices like 'The Notebook' and give you 'What's Your Number' and 'Warm Bodies'! WYN? is a rom com with the Scary Movie chick and the guy from Fantastic 4 and Captain America! It's sooooooooooooo cute, because I'm not proud of my number, but neither am I ashamed, I just wouldn't share it freely.....I love the chemistry between the two characters, simple yet hilarious. The key takeaway: be friends with a guy FIRST, no 'love'/sex involved and your actual relationship will be easy! (relatively) WB is a zombie rom-com that shocked me with it's brillance. SPOILER ALERT! The zombies can be HEALED, HEALED I SAY! Take THAT WWZ! Young Beast from the X-Men First Class and the most recent film is the main zombie, I don't remember the chick but the 2nd main zombie is an old favorite co-star of mine. What a way to say that true love REALLY does CONQUER ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| What is your most controversial opinion? Why do you stick by it despite its unpopularity? Homosexuality isn't as big a deal as unbridled lust. Ok, so like most things I swing around the middle on this. Ever since middle school I have had an inexplicable draw towards this major poli/relig debate. In college I was RANDOMLY selected to co-lead this topic of the week. I was the ONLY one to say something other than 'the bible says it's wrong so it's wrong' Last year, my church Crossroads did a RealSEX series and like most topics they cover, this was presented in a brand new way for me, full of love, compassion and understanding. As I previously figured, this churchs' view is way more modern and at the core they believe it's a sin, but like most things in life, it's complicated and complex. Their whole point, along with mine, is that there is a reason for it. Be it social or genetic there is always a reason/justification for any/everything (science and psychology at their best man). Thankfully we live in a more accepting culture, there are far fewer skeletons to be unboned that way..... |
| Where do you find solace? Is it through a quote or by some other means. Take this anywhere you want and be creative. There's not much more comforting than a positive 'can do' attitude. Uplifting music, movies, and/or books. I love finding the positive in everything. Nearly everything/person I encounter has at least a hidden perspective of truth and wonder, the trick is just to find it. ---------------------- Differences and similarities: which divides us more? I say similarities, because I think often times people dislike others because they see them making "bad" choices they have either made in the past or have thought about making but never did / have the guts to do. Make sense? Probably not but I'm not in an explaining mood and isn't that what blogs are made of... ------------------------- Mom's in town, she loves this movie Cowboys and Aliens. I don't get it. It's interesting enough I suppose. I also rented Ride Along (already seen it but like the extras and there are a ton), Delivery Man, That Awkward Moment (just watched it, super cute, started off meh, probably cuz it's from the boy perspective, but ended sweet), and RoboCop...not sure what I was thinking there. We shall see if that makes it to the player. Wow, I feel like I'm in writing/blogging rehab right now; bear with me (yea I did it on purpose). |
| If there was a real fountain of youth but there is one catch, you don't know what age you will be once you have drank the water. Would you still drink the water and take your chances? Yes....ONLY if I knew for sure that I would be younger....but then does that mean I'm that age forever!?!? Ooooo you left that out....then no....probably not, I mean can you imagine being an infant FOREVER!?!? or 5? Idunno, I don't like them odds. |
| Dear Mark E. Carpenter, I love you. I really truly do. I love you for many reasons but the main reason I love you is because I want to be more like Jesus. I believe Jesus loves you also. That being said: I do not trust you to put Jillian's mental and emotional well being ahead of your own. I do not trust you to put Jillian's mental and emotional well being ahead of your own because you are a distraction. I feel you are a distraction because every instant Angela, Jillians mother, spends focused on you is an instant she is not focused on the mental and emotional well being of her child. To this end, I can not stand to see your face. I can not currently stand to see your face because I see so much of myself in Jillian. I see myself in Jillian because I know what it feels like to wish I had a "better" Dad. I think Jillian has a hard time relating to you because she wishes you were her Dad, but you're not....... I can not currently stand to look at you because I feel you are not currently accepting your limitations. You can not make Angela trust you. You can not make Angela marry you. You can not make Angela fight for her child. You can not make Angela give you exclusive Paternal Rights. But you CAN remove yourself from the situation, because right now you are nothing but a distraction. To this end, I can not stand to think about your issues anymore. I can not stand to think about you because I have Daddy issues. I don't think you can stand to look at me either. I think you can not stand to think about me because I believe you have Mommy issues. I think because of your Mommy issues you are angry at me for not coddling you right now. I can not afford to coddle you because mine AND Jillians mental and emotional and spiritual well beings are at stake. I can not afford to coddle you. I can only afford to be honest with you. Honestly, I think you are allowing Angela to coddle you. I feel that Angela needs to be focused on Jillian. I feel Angela should be coddling Jillian right now. Until one of the following occurs I will not set foot in your apartment or Prodigy (if you are there without Jillian): 1. You stop being monogamous with Angela; 2. You propose to Angela and Angela accepts your proposal. If you refuse to respond to this letter within 24 hours of receipt I will be deleting you from my phone. | X-Man: Days of Future Past - Review = 5 Stars! I've been going through some things recently; some MAJOR things. Some "they think I'm a Schizo-BiPolaraid" type things. Which makes the release of this movie all the more pleasant and important to/for me. It’s beyond amazing how important media becomes to us the instant we apply it to our lives. Then it becomes ‘real’, THEN it becomes ‘truth’. I related well with the major characters: Mystique and Professor X My insane love for JLaw and JMac notwithstanding, I can intimately relate to their characters. I was also able to label certain family and friends as all of the other cast mates. Young Prof. X appears to be mad at the world but in truth is merely pissed off at himself and his in ability to help those he cares most about in this world. The medical world would diagnose him as Schizophrenic because he hears voices. Truth is, he hears truth and the pain that comes with a stranger’s truth. But old Prof. X helped us both out by reminding us it's our own pain we fear. In other words, because we empathize so easily with others we take on their pain as our own and we can't do that and remain functional and self-sufficient. I will type more on how I relate to this movie later.
