The impeachment trial was a farce with a good number of senators admitting he was guilty of the charges submitted to them, yet, ...[Read Full Post]

A Magical Time in Politics

Wow! my head spins in a MÃbius strip pattern. National, Statewide, Local â Makes no difference. Itâs a fascinating, frightening, and fragile situation. Where will we go from here? âCanât we all get alongâ has become meaningless.

My hope is that we are experiencing a huge reorganization, a housecleaning of sorts. For that to be true (truth has become a suspicious concept) we have to be better informed and definitely morally better than those holding political of...[Read Full Post]

Shame?

Looks like shame on me, no blog entries for over 1,000 days. But, if you glance beneath the red writing hood, you will see I was blogging. Just not here. Need to improve that, eh?

More places to write; more things to write; more fun writing. Write. Right?...[Read Full Post]

Wonderful Day!

Fall fell quickly here in Norfolk, VA. Once day we are having record high temperatures, and the next day temperatures are more than 20 degrees colder.

Back Again!

I know it seems that my writing is falling off, but, really, it is not. I have been writing a blog for our local paper's web site and that has kept me busy with 400 to 1200 words per entry. This started in mid-May and continues to be both fun and challenging.

I have just renewed my Writing.com membership and hope to be adding morewriting in the not to far away future.

The city cares, or does it . . . .

Attended a city meeting yesterday, and the topic was crime prevention. The mayor and most city council members were there.

The keynote speaker was most interesting and inspiring, although I do wish they had chosen one that spoke more directly to the topic at hand, crime prevention.

We broke into groups of 15 or so; there were 26 groups in all. During the 90 minutes or so in my group, we had a lively discussion, moderated by a city employee. This was the...[Read Full Post]
