You are what you write. Illusion and Reality...I reside in between. Where are you?
UNDERSTAND THAT REDIRECTING CIVILIZATION is a major undertaking. You can write volumes about it and who will listen? But the energy that goes for that purpose cannot be withdrawn. You know that.

I have a meme as the front cover on my big computer that says: "THE WORLD IS ABOUT TO CHANGE." Day to day conspiracies are proven or exposed as true and absolute facts turn out to be intentional and manipulated lies. So in our wonderful, protected world of writing.com, a little conflicted confusion about reviewing is welcome and satisfying to receive some focus.

Now my experience is mostly limited to being a member of the long-lived writing group of WYRM. I came into the group as a published novelist, but soon learned that I had a great deal to learn about writing a novel. See, there's different levels of being a Newbie, which is true within all of the writing.com world. Just like that distracting real world we actually live in—there is a different story for/about every single individual.

My education began and continues to this day from the in-depth reviews I receive from group members. I learned early-on that it takes a long time. Reviewing a novel means, on average, an in-depth review of one chapter every week for twelve or twenty or forty-some weeks. You learn a lot about the author and how they write. And if a writer reviews your novel, they are no longer a stranger. There were all the elements of story presentation and character development that I had never considered before. There were new structual and technical rules about writing fiction I had never learned about before.

I guess, the point I'm making here is that if you (the novelist) don't open yourself up to receiving in-depth reviews within this community of writers, you'll never really know if what you've done has merit or potential. The other side of the same relationship is that novelists should review other writer's novels. Learning, understanding, imagination and artistic skill is a two-way street. Sometimes awareness is a painful assimilation, but with friends it's easier.

There is value in the two-sentence review that says, "I loved your poem." It serves as a confirmation by a reader and is an encouragement to write more. But the writer is still on their own. And the same goes for short stories.

*Ninja* For a solution to the delima of short acknowledgement/encouragement type of reviews and the detailed, often lengthy in-depth reviews, one has to cross a wide river. I could see a separation, especially for novelists and serious short story writers. What if the in-depth reviewers are listed and catagorized separately?

*Ninja* How such a thing would work? I have no idea. A box to check that directs the static submission as being eligible or agreeable for an in-depth review? WDC has detailed menus for layers of choices. Some discussion is necessary for something like that. *Think*There is that huge gap between 150 words and over 1,000 words.

*Ninja* Another idea is the Reviewer Ratings. IF they were done by the number of original words in the review (not counting any copy-paste). That might have an earth-shattering effect. More discussion necessary. Still, I believe the review types should be simply separated.

I've done some reviewing outside of WYRM and a number of those books did get published. Each one I spent close to a year reviewing their chapters, and learning all the time about my own writing. Inside WYRM I've lost count of how many books and stories I've reviewed. I've loved every minute of the process. So now I'm rambing and will stop now.
Best to all,

*ButtonForward*Back to the merging of today's real scientific development with my speculative Sci-Fi novel drafted in the 90's.
Did you know...

Scientists Successfully Made Sheep-Human Hybrids in 2018
Scientists at the University of California have been able, in laboratory conditions, to cultivate a hybrid of human and sheep, just one year after the news came to the public that a hybrid of man and pig was created. According to the British Guardian, human cells are inserted into the sheep's embryo, with the goal of allowing organisms and tissues in animals to be used for transplantation in the future.—If human cells reach the brain of the animal, and its intelligence begins to change, we should not continue this experiment.

*ButtonForward*(however, it is almost certain that in some hidden lab a Chimera will be allowed to develop full term—and what will it be? And like in my novel, what will happen if the embryo is human and allowed to use some of the animal's hybrid DNA. How much smarter and skilled will it be?)

(From Willow Tears: Billy watches a memcube recording that explains the process...)
"I'm sorry I'm so long getting to the point, Billy, but I felt you must have some of the background first. These men were desperate, so they changed their direction slightly, still with surrogate females, but no longer human. Many years ago there had been isolated experiments where an animal such as a pig or cow gave birth to a monkey or a dog that had been implanted. So they took the idea and went to work to develop, by genetic manipulation, an animal super-womb. White rats proved to be the only animals that responded successfully."

The pictures began again; larger and larger versions of the animals, resembling a hog in bulk, but intelligent-looking, with bright eyes and rather dangerous teeth.

"Succeeding generations produced a stable breed perfectly suited to carrying a human-sized embryo. The children are born naturally and then cared for and suckled by their surrogate animal mother for the first eighteen to twenty-four months. The animal milk seems to pass on to the child certain hybrid DNA immunities, nutrients and traits necessary for survival. These animals are evidently very protective of the newborns. This is the secret of the children—and is the primary function of Level-10."
----CHAPTER 6 - REVELATIONS

*ButtonForward*There's more about this creation of the Newborns and their maturing in the book. In our real world there is also experimentation with DNA editing—as in China with their CRISPR gene edited babies already born. And the very dangerous nano technology showing up in untested uses that we handle or consume every day.
You see, it's necessary to move very carefully through this not-so-speculative world of today.
Best to all,

Here's an interesting post and a question that I came across this morning:

//////////: I CAN SAY THIS THAT THERE WAS A SECURITY BREACH. THERE WAS A LOT PEOPLE WHO WAS GIVEN MISINFO. TODAY THERE IS HIGH LEVEL MEETINGS TAKING PLACE MILITARY LEADERS ARE HAVING MEETINGS. ALPHA-TANGO TEAMS ARE STANDING WAITING FOR A GREEN LIGHT. THE HIGH LEVEL MEETINGS WITH HIGH GOVT. OFFICIALS ARE GATHERING FOR THE FULL CHANGE OVER OF THE REPUBLIC AND THE GCR. I AM NOT ALLOW TO TELL U MORE ABOUT THAT.WHEN THE JUNE 9 SEASON IS OVER THEN ALL THIS WILL BE COME CLEAR

Q: -- could the recovery of the Ft Knox stolen Gold be causing delays with the RV and TRN - Cotrell refunding - do you have any info on the recovery?

And the answer:
//////////: THE GOLD THAT WAS TAKEN OUT OF FT. KNOX BEFORE 1977 WAS TAKEN TO NY. AND RUSSIA BOUGHT MOST OF IT 80% IT WAS SHIPPED TO THEM. ---OUT

So... there has been so much speculation about the gold in the treasury. Is it real? Some stories and rumors circulate that most of it is gold-plated lead bars. There has been so much not said, not inspected or analyzed. The requirement for new gold-backed currency is rushing down on the world. The positive, official statements are far and few between. What's left...Hope?
Just add this to that little itch of unanswered questions in the back of your mind.

So what's four or five months. Let's call that "Total Distractions"—

IS THAT POETRY?

There is a right and there is a wrong,
And there is a different way of doing almost everything.
Escape it not. Be wary of trying not.
Be scheme yourself into a new vale of intent…
Words come in exquisite waterfalls of unstoppable cadences,
Pushing everything out of its way, your way, our way.

Not since the evolution of new words, new language, does the preparation of poetry have any lasting effect. It’s an outlandish scheme, but one that has color, striking images and little emotional zingers…if you let it flow without impedance.

Understand?…then do it!

These days are the last tiny burps of 2018... What do we face next year, crashing down on us at hyper speed? I included a quote from one of my poems...

Paired off like sparring hens,
In a strawless nest,
The egg broken at first thrust,
Leaving yoke to mix with dirt,
Dirt-life drains under mindless feet,
Knowledge of its passing,
A mystery pondered by others,
Faraway on a mountain top,
Tiny figures at the opposite end of the telescope,
Twisting for focus,
Bent in concentration,
Fearing,
Helpless'
They never considered the force of tiny minds,
Full of hate-fear-doubt,
The disbelief of their downfall,
Courses into every heart,
With stinging frayed petulance (evil).

(From The Past of Vision)

...So do you think it fits our world at this moment? I didn't mean for the blog to be so gloomy, but over the past two days, listening to the party and dinner conversations of expatriates in Belize, I kind of felt this way this morning.

LIVING IN BELIZE

Here's the world I live in Belize, Central America: This is partly a 3rd world country. We come into a clash of culture when the big guys like Amex say you cannot have a post office box or forwarding address for your Home Address. Now in this beautiful, tropical piece of the Caribbean, we can have wonderful, expensive houses, but there is NO MAIL DELIVERY. We have post office boxes to receive mail. Or go to the local FEDEX or similar service for very expensive packages and deal with customs declarations and inspection fees, etc.

To correct a situation you call the big guy and get a talking computer, "Please enter your ###number and your dog's name and the 3-digit number...you get the idea. "I'm sorry, I did not understand that statement. Please say again or press # to..." It takes a long time to reach a real living person who has you repeat all that information again before they can hear your simple problem that is not on the 'Press a # List.'

After hearing the simple problem you are told to "Please hold." The same elevator music lulls your mind while your phone minutes evaporate. When the nice lady comes back, everything is repeated again to confirm. The boiler-plate thank you is a relief because the call is finally ending. I know many people have this same experience, yes?

Fact: I have never found a real bookstore in Belize. I don't think anyone reads novels. I noticed that school books usually come in big containers from a generous church group in Canada or the US. There are some libraries, but the fiction sections are sparse. The most books are used book racks in a restaurant frequented by Gringos with English, French and German paperbacks. Or like our Marina office has a shelf of traded books. The English speakers are always trading books. I have a full set of Game of Thrones---very popular!

Another oddness is television. We have a Canadian service. So it's like living in Toronto or from the US it's Buffalo or Detroit. The most I hear of local news is people talking about what they've seen on Face Book. The newspapers are filled with stories from the police reports and the Courts. Murder, rape, robberies, car crashes. Each political party has a pro-newspaper. The government is like all governments...enough said.

The banks seem to write almost everything by hand. The lines are long and slow. There is a 23+ day hold on an out-of-country check.
Gasoline is about $11+ dollars a gallon. I'm not complaining, that's just how it is here. Some expatriates get crazy with all the different rules...so they leave. Going across to Mexico is as close to the big civilization/culture that I want to be. Walmart is scary.

The temperature averages around 80+ degrees. The wind off the ocean is heaven, because it means no bugs. The yard is filled with orchids and all kinds of blooming trees. Outside the fences it's sort of jungle. The lagoon is about 50 yards from the house. There is a two-day a week housekeeper who cleans all the floors and windows & kitchen and baths, etc. The gardener works four days a week. It's not my house, I just take care of it with my partner and the owner, an international midwife is off catching babies and teaching classes in other countries or other parts of Belize. Oh, there is a swimming pool that we take care of as well.

We have a 45' sailboat (the yacht), which is in dry dock having hull refinished. That's in a commercial marina in Belize City. It's a bit of a money-drain but lovey to sail. Our friends are from all around the world and that part is a great experience. I'd say, not bad for a poorish old person!

I'm finishing my third novel with the help of WYRM Group. And being able to do that while living in Central America is the wonder of the Internet.

Caught these words this morning. They're too good to not share... >>>iggy

CREATE is a word that should be oceanic. It should shake and blow apart the pillars of the smug boredom of the soul.

CREATE is about what the individual does when he is on fire and doesn’t care about concealing it. It’s about what the individual invents when he has thrown off the false front that is slowly strangling him.

CREATE is about the end of mindless postponement. It’s about what happens when you burn up the pretty and petty little obsessions. It’s about emerging from the empty suit and empty machine of society that goes around and around and sucks away the vital bloodstream.

---Jon Rappoport

Excerpt from: The universal Rebel and the psy-op to neuter him by Jon Rappoport (Nov.14 )

On WDC we have the word used as: Create New Item.

Blog City image small WORDS & MUSIC

Prompt: "I think I fell in love with words before I fell in love with music." Taylor Swift Write anything you want about this.

When I leaned to read, I read everything and was taken to the library every week to get more books. But at the same time I had piano lessons (for 7 years) and strugged through all the exercise books and worked on the mathematics of Bach and the heavy emotion of Beethoven. I had older cousins who played piano really well. I spent hours siting beside them as they did the pop music of the 1940's and 50's. I loved music and words, and always have, thanks to my mother's encouragement. My dad hated the eternal practicing. I learned to practice when he was not home.

Songs need words and there is an unlimited variety, but I do like to understand the words when they are sung. I'm also partial to the music having some sort of melody. There are singers and music that only produce noise.

_ _ _ __ _ _ __ _ _

Last week Tropical Storm Harvey went directly over the house where I am living in Belize with about five minutes of medium rain and a tiny burst of wind. Then it was gone off to the northwest across the Yucatan and into the Gulf of Mexico. Everyone said it was finished, dissolved.

The next thing we hear it is a gigantic hurricane becoming a Catagory-4 aimed at Texas. I don't think anyone was really prepared for the speed of that development. The damage there is beyond calculations.

My question, which probably will never have an answer is:
WHY would they establish a huge city on a flood plain a few feet above sea level? I've seen Amsterdam and Rotterdam. They adapted with massive protective walls and systems. I've seen Venice struggling with their city. In reality, Houston is no different, only I guess 'they' ignored the problem. The 'they' who made those decisions are long gone. It would take a lot of research to track that down. *Think*

If it was deliberate, look for who will benefit. They say that elements of the government do have some control over the weather. If they do, then other organizations can do the same for good or bad agendas.

Now the preppers are the smart ones. Learn from their example. In other words, you have to take care of yourself and your family.

I'd head for the hills! >>>iggy

Blog City image small ABOUT PAIN & STRESS...

Prompt: “When we protect ourselves so we won't feel pain, that protection becomes like an armor that imprisons the softness of the heart.” ----Pema Chödrön, When Things Fall Apart

Think about this: Currently more than a million children are on psychiatric drugs in America

*Noter* 274,804 of them are younger than a year old.

*Noter* 370,778 are toddlers aged two to three

*Noter* 4,130,340 kids aged 6 to 12 are on some kind of psychiatric drug.

(Numbers from Citizens Commission on Human Rights

Who is protecting these children from what kind of pain? And how will it effect them when they become adults? Do they have any feelings of their own left? Look at the number and figure doctor visit fees, medication costs, and how much profit is involved?

How many of their parents are protecting themselves with medications for armor?

====================================================

PROMPT: Do you believe, in times of indecision and/or stress, that your dreams are trying to tell you something with regards to your worries? Why or why not?

On August 10: I dreamed: The secret boss allowed me to have his financial files and to hide them. No one knows his worth or plans. He has decided to trust me. I like him and will be loyal. There are others badly wanting to know about him. I think nice offices, but I work in a warehouse like facility.

On August 11: I dreamed about a Jaguar that adopted me and lived with me.
ignored everyone else. Licked my face, slept close had her own sleep pad.
Didn't mind the car, truck or van. stayed close to me when away from home.
She has no name just a presence that is recognized.

On August 14: I dreamed: about forming small councils to send representatives to the court...and then to State. It was the same as the Iroquois style of democracy. Then I had to find the Elders.

On August 15: I dreamed about an orange mud ball caught under my foot. It was bigger than a baseball. It stuck to the sole of my shoe.

It goes on like this. The dreams are alway very realistic and logical when they're happening. And I'm not stressed with ease of sleeping always. The Jaguar was very loving. I was stressed to find the Elders, and I don't know why the orange mud ball stuck to me. I did hide the bosses files, but I can't remember where. *Worry*
