I am busy re-arranging my world, if one can call it that.

Simply put, the total disorder must be re-ordered, if it is possible in any way.

The basic test every hoarder should do:

(1a) ''Will I ever use/read this in my life - ever again.''

The basic answer should be - MAYBE.

(2) Then the item must be kept.

(3) The next step is - WHERE ?

This is when the 'solution' becomes the 'problem'.

(1b) If the answer in the first instance is NO, then why is it still here ?

Quite simple.

Now for the simple part - GOYA and KISS. (to be cont.)

GOYA = Get off your assets !

KISS = Keep it simple stupid !

This should be blue - as it is Monday(the 5th) - never-mind, we do not care about color, after-all, a spade is a spade, whether it be red or black.

A few of the dis-orderly are causing problems.

This is where the big guns are called for.

Starting with kicking yourself for being one of the dis-orderly.

Most of our problems in life are caused by our own behavior, and I am guilty as charged.

Never trust anything that can think for itself if you can't see where it keeps its brain.

---- J. K. Rowling, Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, 1999

I just had to pick this quote, 'cause I watched the one 'Harry' movie, and lo and behold, it was part one ... did I talk in foreign tongues !

This is by no way the end - unless it is THE END.

Robert Burns' poem To a Mouse, 1786.

----- But, Mousie, thou art no thy lane [you aren't alone]
In proving foresight may be vain:
The best laid schemes o' mice an' men
Gang aft a-gley, [often go awry]
An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain,
For promised joy.
...

The poem is of course the source for the title of John Steinbeck's 1937 novel - Of Mice and Men

- and the movie is worth a look.

I was reminded that I support an older form of firefox today ..... l only loaded the newest version earlier this week ...
... and so soon am I outdated.

It is a day for reflection at my end.

Was just mentioning on the 'Chat'

... ''' spending well and in a good cause ... mmmmmm
» i've spent rather ill advised mostly
» always with good intent '''

and as they say - the road to hell is paved with good intentions ...

I wonder who 'They' are ? They say this, they say that. And we never get a reference to them.

This will be a busy year, if I want to get my affairs in order.

Procrastination is a word which should be avoided at all cost.

How ? I am so good at it !

(to be cont.)

(continuation -- Sunday ) Entered my photos onto the 'new' computer,

and killed a few bugs ... we have many bugs around.
All shapes and sizes.
Flying, crawling, all sorts, and some can bite.

The first stone has been cast into the water ... now to see how it will develop.
Cryptic again ... I made a business deal with 'family' and they are 'playing me'.
This has been going on for quite a while, and now I have decided to clean up some of my affairs.
It always causes waves, which wise man said ---

Apparently it is from Hamlet - Never a borrower or a lender be.

Let us start off with best wishes to all of mankind, the universe, and all that is.

The year of the DRAGON, the last year on the Mayan calender, and a leap year at that.

The weather office predicted a crazy weather year. So far it seems to be spot-on. Rain has fallen from all directions, okay, not from the bottom up yet - wise one !

There is more to follow on this blog entry ...

The sun is going nuts ... at our time 16h00, the sun was bombarding the earth with rays, rays which helped me load up Adobe Flash Player, which I have battled to get on for a long time.
Well - it was the sun, as far as I'm concerned.

Now I can chat in peace !

The 12th day of X-mas; the day all ornaments should be down or else the maidens will see goblins for every leaf left hanging.

The twelfth day of X-mas is on the sixth of January.

A resolution for the new year ...

Peace ! With all I know - starting with myself.

I may have to 'kill' a few to achieve peace ... *Silent*

There are still many outstanding things to sort out - till then - there will be no peace.

Here we are, mid December '11, the year is almost done, and another half a month and Christmas will be behind us. The new year looms ahead.

Half of the world will celebrate X-mas, the other half will supply the presents, the other half will ignore it all, and the other half could use all the goodwill and cheer – even half of it – would be fine.

There are so many halves, so many homes was torn in half this year due to something or other.

So many halves, so many nothings. Then we do not; or should not forget, there are many that went before this year. Seems to me, we have a world with many halves.

Well – half a glass full is still better than half a glass empty.

The eternal optimists.

@ 2012 - 01 - 02

When making a landing, the sky above and the runway behind, these have no value.

Let us keep our eyes on the goal ahead. The rest is not in our control.

I picked this up in Dave Varty's - 'The Full Circle' - and on Googling it, found it to be part of the pilot's training advice.

We have more empty chairs at the table - 2011 - took its share. We still have the memories ... not quite the same, still - that is all we have.

The Great Wall of China is in danger of falling apart in places.

The reason is illegal mining for minerals and other riches.
How this problem is handled by the Powers that be, is not clear.

Here we have a problem which, if viewed in the correct light, is not bad.
Copper cables, transformers, and all other related products are being stolen.

These are then re-worked back into the pure metal, and resold to clients, such as China.

All round, it seems to be a win-win situation.

Work is being created, should the 'free enterprise operators' get caught, they will keep plenty of people in work.
The law system is kept going, the jailbirds must be fed and cared for, the welfare system may get involved, and the ripples in the pool reach out.

Crime, it seems, pays – directly or indirectly.

All because the Great Wall of China is falling apart ?

Then arrived Madness, Madness is an Ostrich of the strange kind. You never see a grown mad ostrich in the wild, not as far as I am aware, as the Nasties will surely make a meal out of an Ostrich who runs around in a circle, with his neck in the fetal position (which is in a 'U' tube mostly.) Slowly the neck is becoming functional, as Madness is eating already. Tho, Madness still tends to run around in circles.

Tiny is still tiny, and now keeping Madness company.
The first five are really outgrowing their current quarters at a rapid pace.

The sun beat me this evening, as the camera was not with me. The most amazing sunset against the clouds, the wind was blowing up a mean dust storm, and late showers started, the redness of hell was evident. There is the old saying, 'the Devil is cleaning out the hell'. From the north to the south, it was layer upon layer of cloud, in all hues of red to soft pink with the downward rain lines.

It is red, red - as a warning rag against danger, red - as a cape to taunt the bull, red is the color of my life at the moment.

In between all this red, there is a lot of bull.

Why does one roll out a red carpet, and then the other think they can wipe their feet on it ?

Words of the day:

Success is not Mt Everest; it can be at the corner of your street, in your kitchen, or the bedroom.

Things which move into my world

I did mention the baby ostriches, the current count is 13. and 8 bad eggs. Maybe a few more, although the last 3 were smaller, and the one was really the runt of the ... brood/clutch/batch or something like that.

The rain is very late, the weeds are still waiting and so am I. We have had a few tornado a while back, close enough to sit up and take note. Mother Nature is on a high.

History of the world: New edition.

The New Millennium (2000+)

There is such a thing - it seems like the old stuff to me ... in a new wrapper ?

"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings."

"But wait a bit," the Oysters cried,
"Before we have our chat;
For some of us are out of breath,
And all of us are fat!"
"No hurry!" said the Carpenter.
They thanked him much for that.

At last, the ostrich story is going in a direction.

The first 5 babies clocked in on the 13th October 2011, as cute as can be.

Advice was sought, and there - they are worse than human babies.
Human babies are tough, compared to animal babies.

There is the problem with correct feeding, correct feed, starting the tummy up (tummy needs to be started up as it cannot work without artificial added enzymes)
Pebbles have to be given, not too much or too little.
Food stuffs have to be the correct size and type.
Greens have to be controlled, and the roughage intake monitored.

I though an ostrich was a stupid bird?

The geese are still on eggs, not sure if anything will come from those, will have to wait and see.
Chickens, not much joy with those, a few stragglers, they are not very consistent this year.

Who said; "Don't count your chicks before they are hatched."

Optimists even sells the hoof and hide before they are hatched, and the pessimist digs a grave for the dead. And the realist - ?

It started off with an innocent odd cough, till it built itself up to a full blown bronchial pneu-moania. The one where you donate a lung every day, coughin, wheezin, sneezin, no matter what you drink as medicinal help. A head the size of a blown-up balloon, the big one, that one grown people hide in dark places, that was how big my head was, and much more sensitive, and not in a good way.

A nasty subject - the utilization of the raw product from any country.

Alto I start it off as green, it is not green. Then, what color will I use for the degradation of the world's natural resources. There is no natural color to use, unless we can give greed a color.

The subject for today, snakes!

These killers of snakes will pay the price when the rats take over, then they will realize their folly, rather too late.

The blind whip of justice tends to have a nasty back-bite.

As an after-thought, justice serves little purpose - after the fact. It does proof the fact, do not mess with Justice.
