From the time of Noah, God's promises have been true. Holy are You O God. I am immersed in the Church of the Living God, for in You the Church is known for love. Unbridled love.

~ Galatians ~

I am delighted with the morning. A new day Father and I rejoice in You. My sleep was ever so yum and I surge with a newborn energy to pick up the pen. My heart is right and I can say with no reservations or any contradiction from within that I love You!

You are more precious to me today than at any other time in my life. You are my joy and my life.

Thank You for life and the lives of my beautiful family and friends. You lead me home. You lead me to a home I have never known. I am glad. Dearest, precious Lord God of Heaven and Earth. I am glad. Holy are You Lord God.

I love Your words. I love Your voice. How it rang in my heart as I wrote of what I know of You last night.
(
"Contrasting Fears" ) Soothing, it was like a lilting melody that tickled my soul. The moments with You gain a sweetness that come more and more frequently now.

I remember times when I pretended You really didn't know me. You let me play out that part of my story. It troubles me that there is something in me that isn't a part of Your purpose and plan. That there are moments when I get more consumed with my own carnal notions of living. And it is in those moments that a fool jumps up inside of me to challenge Your truth. Your way. What a craven beast of a fool! Have I no knowledge of Your patience and grace? O my Lord how I have tested it! In Your loving kindness and faithfulness You have always led me back home. Not just to my earthly home, but my eternal home. Thank You.

Holy Are You Lord.

My eyes have been opened by You and as I search out You heart I find love. I know love. Yes. Love beyond my limited human conception of love. As a word. As a notion. O how I wish I had a more complete way of saying the depths, heights and glory that the four letter word actually means.

For now there is only one way I know to express the meaning of the word. It is You O God:

Yaweh Yeshua, Adonai, El Shaddai! Holy righteous, complete, flawless, sovereign, ever present, all knowing and yearning for the ones You came to save. Our living hope. Our eternal life to come. Love. You O God are Love. You never stop leading us home. Thank You!

Please bless me in this glorious day as Your word makes new life in me. You are worthy of all praise and adoration!
And You say:
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen! (Galatians 1:3-5 NIV)

May I ever have a greater understanding of Your love, O Lord, than this? Only one way I know for it to be clearer and that would be to see Your face and see the joy in Your love filled eyes! I cannot theorize such a moment, I can only imagine.

Holy Father, as the day is fostering plans that I have ascribed to this day, I must bless You with Your words of life:
(We) Know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified. (Galatians 2:16)

You have provided my salvation and in faith I receive the fullness of Your love and grace. Jesus took my punishment. Again the power of love. Not just spoken. Love Done!

Everlasting God, Holy and Just, I love Your words of redemption:
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. the life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

Holy love, perfect love, You have made me whole and You lead me home. Thank You.

~ Amen ~

*Mugr* Perhaps as the days go by I will be clear on the days I have had on the road.

I love the road. I headed out late today and this part of the journey took me on I 70 from Marshall Il, to Columbus, OH. Coming out of Marshall I believe I saw the last green cornfield in Illinois. It had rained the afternoon I arrived so I believe that corn field may stay green for a while. Every field around the green one was dry. Dead. Either harvested or like some others that were stands of corn that were dead stalks standing four feet high. Parched. It has been a long summer with temperatures up over 90 degrees every day out here.

I drive a 2010 Toyota Corolla with over 150,000 miles on it. Solid vehicle. road worthy. Four doors. Practical. It has a whacked trunk that I have to cinch closed with bungi chords. But I like that too. I'm a practical driver. I've got over 2 0r 3 million miles on me. I am road worthy. Practical. Coffee fueled after 24 years in Starbucks land, and reliable. My trunk is ok as long as I get out and move it around every few hours. But there are times on the road where one has to put one's whole body on the line to get the road done.

Parts of I 70 are a dream to drive. Few cars, lots of good road and at 70 miles an hour requires minimal driving skills. Cruise control. A sip from my black coffee up every so often and a song that's reved up to the right volume to keep the toes tapping and the voice boomin'. The easy road.

Then there is the hard road. Lots of traffic. All lanes moving at over 75 mph and the passing lane is shuttling people to the next land at over 90. Coming into Indianapolis, all four lanes were surging with maniacal drivers headed for the inevitable on the other side of Indy. Road construction. Orange signs everywhere. Vehicles in the center strip where 50 years of concrete, asphalt and steel have been stripped away are flashing all of their yellow, red and blue lights. Where the bridges are being replaced we crawl along at 5 mph.

But I am the road. I've paid for it over a million times. I shuttled people on wine tours, across the Golden Gate bridge to fly out of San Francisco, across the bay bride to fly out of Oakland. I shuttled people from the far reaches of the Olympic Peninsula to their dialysis treatment or their morning visit to the methadone clinic. The road was an extraordinary feature in the days of the Romans. President Eisenhower had the snaps to see that a nationwide freeway system was necessary.

And as I am gliding along into Dayton Ohio, five hours from where I started, without a break, (amazing how one's gas consumption is reduced when top end speed for 80 miles or more is only 45 mph.) I realized i was getting a little hungry, but now I am only an hour from my final destination.

When you love the road, sometimes you can become aware of something that is sometimes a mixture of ones built in ability to measure time, factor all elements and come out with an estimated time of arrival that is almost always spot on, no matter the conditiions.

With only my mapquest sizing up the travel time, I surmised, with the loss of one hour that i would arrive at my daughters at 2:30 pm WDC time. This was my own personal reworking estimates mapquest was giving me. I arrived at 2:17 pm. One stop in Dayton. No food. Fuel and go.

The writing is what I want now. One break from Marshall to Dayton. On the Road. On the laptop. One break from 8 a.m to 1 p.m. i ain't got it. O I have written my words and there are gobs and gobs of them. But I won't grit down on it like I will on the accelerator of my Toyota. Set my body like steel in that driver seat and press through knowing that if one gets off in the construction zone time is lost in increments of 10s of minutes and before you know it you are 60 minutes behind schedule.

I am determined to make that happen here. Here and now. I know it will. It just has too!

Friday, September 11, 2026 3 pm....remember this date and time. Important? Yes! Why? I will tell you later, but don't forget it.

The day is one of the precious ones that come around occasionally. Blue sky. High white puffy clouds that speak of life in the future, more than in the now.

Significant day? Not really. Ordinary? Yes, ordinary. Except I learned something new and it broke my heart. What I learned is that some among us who are growing up now, are aging into an age of autism. I say age, because either it was hidden when I grew up in the 1950's America, or it is a recent phenomenon that goes along with some feelings I have about my land, my sacred land has migrated. I am an elder. In America, Elders are unsanctioned, since we are not a nation of tribes and customs that honor a position called elders. The role of the elder has been dispersed to many professional people who have learned specialities that no one human could possibly know everything about. Even with a computer that can give me the full ramification of a law that affects school districts because of the children among us who have special needs. The Elder is surprised to hear that every school district in the sphere of his influence have dozens of children whose learning is impaired by some disability.

The Elder, of a distant, prominent generation, remembers many students who were passed on to upper grades though they could not read. Could not do simple math. Were anti-social, culturally illiterate and were harnessed to plows as they aged out of the school system, or just became outcast.

The Elder had no idea that a government over such a society would begin to wonder what it would cost to not leave these children in the predicament of harvesting crops, menial farm labor, living in camps for forestry work. Education was the answer.

*Mugr**Mugr**Mugr* I had known of Kenny Rogers for many years, but somehow had never really listened to Dolly's music. But I remember when this song came out. The heart of this song so overwhelmed me, I could not ever again underestimate the power of this beautiful, charming singer, Dolly. Just a reminder that others are going ahead of me to that great and glorious promise of the Kingdom of God. And that I may not be far behind.

Over the weekend the foot I overworked on Friday began to rebel against the rest of my body. Shady character! I babied it as much as I could, but refused to give it the treatment I know it wanted. Yes, I punished a part of myself because it was being a big baby! I know. I know.

So yesterday, as a result of my authoritarian handling of my various members, when I tried to get up out of bed, the pain from my wounded member shot me right back under the covers. Owww! Finally my need for coffee overruled my aching foot and under great duress I hobbled to the kitchen. Five minutes later the coffee is pressing its way into my favorite cup.

Then, begrudgingly, the four things, big ideas really, needed to properly treat and heal my wounded foot finally aroused me out of my ignorant stance against "babyhood." The first step. I would need my cane. My cane was in the car. First step would be to the garage, limping painfully. Second step. Something frozen. Fortunately, the frozen peas just happen to be in the freezer in the garage. (bags of frozen peas conform to a wounded limb better than most other types of cold press.) With cane in one hand and frozen peas in the other, I at last get to the medicine closet for step three - yes, I did say closet - and yes step three, I took out two delicious aspirin (the every six hour kind). Fourth, a vital step, I sprint...Hah! not really - slide over to the recliner positioned perfectly in front of the tv. Recliner up, wounded foot on pillow, wrapped in ice, aspirin down, coffee up, youtube 60's music piping through Alexa; I will be whole in 24 hours.

The pampering was excruciating of course. I wasn't able to mow the lawn, do the laundry or the dishes. I couldn't vacuum or drive to the store. I could have done a lot of writing but, well you know, when one member hurts even the creative juices suffer!

That brings me today. Yes, I am completely whole. And as I look at my foot now perfectly normal and amiable with all my other members I am tempted to wag a very crooked finger at the boy and show him the state of our kingdom today! Oh we will be mowing the lawn, doing the laundry, the dishes, the floors and we will go to the store... and yes! I will probably be on aspirin, ice and 60's music again tomorrow, but for now I am going to show that foot he does not rule my kingdom!

Cheers!

*Mugr**Mugr**Mugr* Shall I speak the unspeakable joys of the Most High God? Shall I endeavor to know what blazes in the heart of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords? I know what He has called me to. In this purpose I rest remarkably calm. Jesus has said I will visit Him today.

Today. My purpose is to consider the poorest of the poor. No, not like the desolate places of Africa or Asia, but America, where the richest of rich prosper more and more everyday and somehow a vagrant few have fallen through the promises of a fine education, a vibrant "hiring market," and the glorious promises of Jehovah Jireh Our Provider. People of the street. As their curses rise towards heaven, I listen, pray and intercede on their behalf. Slip a few bucks into the Hope Chest. I wonder how a people, this burdened people, were ushered out of the mainstream of my blessed America's promise of prosperity forever. They look to a breakfast. A few smokes with their comrades. A lunch. A migration between this city's charities and the place where fully employed souls leaving offices of industry in the downtown square give a few coins to those now on the beggar line.

But the Lord reminds me, as He often will, of my near financial collapse that would have rendered me homeless, destitute and without a hope. Were it not for the "ones" he sent to me to be a lifeline between a "tent city" existence into a comfortable retirement; Oh yes, I would have died penniless and alone.

Even so, I wrestle with my lifeblood comfort and demand it bow to the will of my Father. I will visit Jesus and hope my prayers for my neighbors of the streets will have some heart of Heaven in them. Bless. Bless. Bless. For it is my loving Father's heart that none should perish.
~ May His Will Be Done ~

Kind Regards,

Holy Father God,
You are beautiful. You fill my eyes when I desire to see, and fill my ears when I am distracted. Too distracted to see. I am glad to be Your child today, Father. I am glad to be your servant. A prophet perhaps? Yes, a prophet, but only in the sense that You have written it all down for me. It is in Your Book. The Book for Your Church. A Book amongst many Books that record the way of a man in this life. Books of Reward and Judgment. Too wonderful for me.

I sit in the midst of those who will eventually be reminded of what You have already put within them and the day of judgment to come.

I politely ponder it all for now. Politely saying the words of the songs piped into the sanctuary. Lips uttering the sounds of Holy Spirit in prayer; in polite pondering. You draw weary burdened souls to look my way. Judge. Then go about their way. But I pray for them. In my book. I write their presence before Your presence and invite You into the world of fiction they have created.

*Coffeer**Coffeer**Coffeer* Dearest Holy Father God,
I imagine the purpose. I know. It is Your Spirit reminding me, for I've known it all my life. It begins in the heart. The purpose I mean. This great and glorious mystery is no mystery at all really. It begins with my first cry. I need You. The more I need You the more I am in need. The way I am of any being in Your presence is in my heart. I wait a moment while that thought re-establishes itself in my mind. My fingers come to a halt. There it is. Something Jesus said. The Kingdom, Your Kingdom is within me. You have put Your Kingdom in mankind. I am a King and a Priest. A King blesses his kingdom. A priest blesses the people within his realm. My authority is over a bit of Missouri, my people are all about me every day. To bless.
To be useful then is to know my position and authority in Your Empire. Your constellation. My walk then, the way of being in this earth, is to bless the ones - my neighbors - pray for them; but then above all - worship You. Yes. Worship. I forget so easily, even when I read the words on Your Pages. My Worship Is To Please You. This my God will be imprinted on my heart, soul and mind with Your goodness and favor - MY WORSHIP IS TO PLEASE YOU. This then is my portion for this day. Be in Your presence with my neighbors and worship You.

I love Your words to me O Lord, for they are the most precious, and now, almost always, extremely personal! Thank You Father.

         1 Peter 2:2
Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk,
that by it you may grow up into salvation—

You Bless me with an understanding of this verse and I thank You once again! You O Lord are good to fulfill that craving; feed that craving; satisfy that craving; and I grow. Spiritual milk, praying Your word, praying in my prayer language, yet with understanding. I grow. In the flow of the milky words of life I drink deep to the point of craving delicious Spiritual life with celebration. Hunger me a good "One" my Lord God, Adonai.

In the sanctuary of solitude
Serene my thoughts kneel
Bowing to hold my heart in sacrifice
Keeps me quiet for just an hour

You are gentle with me Spirit
Sealed from urges to go mad
Seventy year's meditation offers
You Spirit, a few morsels of time

The stairs to the Secret Place
In the shadow of Your wings
Have been built on years of longing
Though just a speck in forever more

I open my hands before You
And look - they're filled with peace
My soul too is mended, rested, refined
Made sacred in my worship here with You.
