A Mish-Mash of Whatever I Want to Say
|A little bit of this and a little bit of that...|
|National Repeal Day?! Seriously, how is this not a well known and widely celebrated holiday? The triumphant end to Prohibition should be more widely recognized (just my personal opinion of course). The key to how everyone survived those 13 years without alcohol...they didn't! There were so many speakeasies, boot leggers, and such it was almost as if Prohibition didn't exist anyway. Nonetheless, National Repeal Day is an awesome holiday and it wouldn't be very festive without George Thorogood and his song - One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer -
And, his other song - I Drink Alone -
|December 2nd is National Mutt Day! I did not know that, but now that I do, I will have to celebrate every year. My dogs are always mutts (they are the best dogs in my opinion). I love how they all have their own little quirks and peculiar looks. My current beautiful mutt, Brandi, a Rhodesian Ridgeback / Corgi mix (I can't answer how that happened, so don't ask!), has one ear from each parent - one folded and one stand up - and gold eyes.
And, now that I know about National Mutt Day I can celebrate with one of my favorite tunes -
All American Mutt by Jamie Kent
Whenever someone asks my nationality I reply with American, sometimes I say I'm just a mutt - too many all mixed in to go into detail. This song is perfectly fun!
