UPDATED INTRO 25 OCT 2021:
Just a little about me. I've been married for 30 years in NOV this year!! and currently live in Southern California, but I grew up in New Hampshire.

I've got 2 boys in their teens.

I work as a 911 dispatcher for LAPD. I enjoy my job a lot.

I love to write, but since I've been so involved with the Boy Scouts program since 2015 (now Scouts BSA since girls were invited to come on board) I haven't written much. I hope to get back to more writing soon, as I'm scaling back my BSA commitment. Update on this: I was able to get out 2 stories that were previously published. The update/publishing is going slow.

I like to get out in nature, take walks around Castaic Lake, drink coffee and watch football.

Here's a little bi about my zodiac.

GEMINI: Gemini, the sign of the Twins, is dual-natured, elusive, complex and contradictory. On the one hand it produces the virtue of versatility, and on the other the vices of two-facedness and flightiness. The sign is linked with Mercury, the planet of childhood and youth, and its subjects tend to have the graces and faults of the young. You really need to do your reviews!! I agree - be straight, BL, etc... what's gonna sell your "romance" is chemistry. Actors embodying their characters is a must. I appreciated the witty banter of the book, but when the time, I just thought the characters well, acted, out of character.

I really really need to do reviews of Thai BL series. I've watched enough to actually know what's what!

I prefer those that are more than a rom-com. One I'm watching now "AiLongNhai" is supposedly fluffy and pointless and unlike most BLs the sex comes in episode #2... which actually makes sense plot-wise. Sex-too-soon, even when consensual, provides the tension.

I'm also watching "Home School" (horror imho) and "Enigma" (super-natural drama), neither of which is BL, two series with young actors I'm familiar with due to BLs.

What works? Chemistry between the couples-to-be, the ease with which the actors play off each other and whether they become their character is one essential ingredient.

I so need to do reviews!

I love gyros. We have a Greek church and restaurant in town and a festival. But... I'm not there.

I visit churches, mosques, wats when I can. Places tend to be closed in the USA but open elsewhere in the world where worship/devotions is a daily not a one-day-a-week practice.

In most places outside of California, the tap water is good. My home state of New Hampshire, it's okay to drink the tap water and it tastes good, too. I dunno about California. You got me wondering so I did a bit of research.

Nuts and bolts of it: Many California water systems don't met regulatory standards. There are plenty of chemical containments such as arsenic, nitrate and chromium. Nitrate is from agricultural run off and chromium is from industrial run off.

370 water systems in California don't met standards. It also says many state water systems are old, lack oversight and are incapable of addressing the problem.

whil e I have grown more curious, I'm going to explore the issue a little bit later on when I have more time.

The PH scale ranges from 0 to 14. Water comes in at 7, nice and neutral. 0-6.9 is acidic and 8 to 14 is alkaline. Alkaline water is usually an 8 or a 9 on the scale. The following elements are bit higher in alkaline water: sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium. Over time, alkaline water helps improve bone health, sooth acid reflux, helps with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. For me, I like the taste of the alkaline water, it's, I dunno, fresher.

LOL!! I guess I'm a water snob. Who knew?

I prefer tap water. I grew up with treated lake water (decent) and in Missoula our water comes from an aquifer (very good). I always drank tap water in Costa Rica as well.

I do prefer it flavored.

In Thailand no one trusts the water... although it's deemed safe. I boil tap water for my coffee. Bottled water just cost us 416 baht for 10 cases (60 1.5 liter bottles = 90 liters). That's about 4.5 baht/bottle or 13 cents US.

By alkaline do you mean soda water? Don't care for it.

Lol!! Romance as a writing genre isn't for everyone, trust me. And Marketing? Marketing is another BEAST entirely. I find I need to dedicate at least the same amounth marketing as I do writing which can be challenging when time is limited.

I'm trying to increase the blogging. I find it's usually easier for me to blog in the summertime. The rest of the year, I'm busy with the boys' stuff, but with the boys getting older... we will see!

Growing up I remember visiting Bear Brook State Park and picking blueberries, sometimes raspberries. That was the best - it was like finding treasure in the woods.

Growing up I loved the county fair and loganberry drink.

We picked the small wild strawberries in the field by our house... every June.

Nowadays? Whatever special event I hear about.
