| FOOTPRINTS...(When we FEEL Alone and Feel that GOD has deserted us)....đ ( What I read as a Child....And has STAYED with me.....ALWAYS - Have EXPERIENCED IT....Am LIVING IT.....) One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it: "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me ALL THE WAY. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me." The LORD SMILED and Replied: "My son, my precious child, I love you and I would NEVER LEAVE YOU. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, They are NOT yours, the ARE Mine it was then that I CARRIED YOU........" AND TRUE IT IS....I BET MY LIFE ON IT.... |
In the middle of that narrow space of the heart- Sushumna remains the undecaying, all-knowing, omnifaced, great Fire, which flames on every side which enjoys the food presented before it, which remains assimilating the food consumed, the rays of which spread scattering themselves vertically and horizontally, and which warms the body from insole to the crown. In the center of that Fire which permeates the whole body. There abides up in leaping tongue of Fire, of the color of shining gold, which is the topmost among the subtle, which is dazzling like the flash of the lightning that appears in the middle of a rainbow bearing cloud, which is as slender as the awn of a paddy grain; and which serves as a comparison to illustrate subtlety. Paramatman dwells in the middle of that flame... He is the Creator' Siva, Vishnu, Indra, the material and efficient Cause of the universe and the supreme Self-luminous pure Consciousness... |

He built a wall with barbed wires on top. *A young bull* could not resist his temptations and wanted to mate a cow. Other bulls told him there was one *veteran* consultant bull amongst them that could help.* The bull went to him and asked how to cross the wall to the cows. The consultant explained: "First of all.. stand 60 feet away from the wall. Then run at 60mph. Then jump at a 60° angle. Do what you want then come back the same way." The bull asked: "But what if I mess up with the calculations and lose my balls in the barbed wires?"* *The consultant said:" Then you become a consultant."*đ |

" 'Mahavakyas': Are great declarations of the Vedas, the most ancient scriptures of the world. These are numerous and appear throughout the Vedas in different places of the text. However, there are four popularly known 'mahavakyas' culled from four Upanishads, one from each of the four Vedas. Though every 'mahavakya' is complete by itself and has the potential to grant liberation to a deserving aspirant, the essence of the four 'mahavakyas' in sequential order, providing a roadmap for 'sadhana' is as follows: PRAJNANAM BRAHMA: 'Consciousness IS Brahma' (Aitareya Upanishad, Rig Veda) This first 'mahavakya denotes a statement of definition of Truth. It declares that Consciousness, the spiritual core that enlivens each of us, is the same all-pervading Consciousness in all beings and things. TAT TVAM ASI: 'That Thou Art' (Chhandogya Upanishad, Sama Veda) The second 'mahavakya' is a statement of instruction that a 'sadhak' is not a limited personality as he imagines to be but verily the Supreme Brahma. AHAM BRAHMA ASMI: 'I am Brahma' (Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, Yajur Veda) The third 'mahavakya' is a statement confirming experience of the Truth by the 'sadhak'. AYAM ATMA BRAHMA: 'This Self is Brahma' (Mandukya Upanishad, Atharva Veda) The fourth 'mahavakya' reflects on the 'sadhak' when he establishes himself in his real nature, the Self - omnipresent and eternal." "In Shree Shree Ma's 'sadhana lila' we find all these revelations in the different paths of 'sadhana' that She played, whether in the realm of 'Bhakti', Tantra, Yoga or Gyan* as well as other religions and faiths. All these took place during a period of eight months of Her 'sadhana lila' IN DIFFERENT ASTRAL PLANES during Her stay in Bajitpur, presently located in Bangladesh. Shree Shree Ma's lila of sadhana* is a unique phenomenon that has no parallel. All paths of spiritual endeavor were illuminated and experienced at this time. This lila was undertaken for the benefit of mankind. " (From "Mother Reveals Herself/Enlarged Edition, Appendix IV) Translations below are from the Glossary, page 431: *Bhakti = The yoga of attaining union with God by following the path of devotion. *Tantra = Particular path of 'Sadhana' that emphasizes japa of a mantra and other esoteric practices that relate to the powers latent in the human body in relation to the cosmic power usually thought of as the Divine Feminine. *Yoga or Gyan = Path of knowledge leading to the realization of the Self as taught by the Upanishads *japa = Recitation of mantra or a name of God as received from the Guru at the time if initiation *Lila = Divine Play *Sadhana = Austere endeavor/spiritual practice for the purpose of preparing oneself for Self-realization *Sadhak (a) = An austere practitioner |

A man who hears the word 'Himalaya', without having actually set eyes on the mighty range, will be under the impression that it is but a single mountain, whereas once face to face with the Himalayas, he will realize that they consist of hundreds upon hundreds of peaks, stretching over hundreds of miles, with milliards* of trees, animals, birds, insects, with streams and waterfalls. Similarly, the farther one advances or deeper one penetrates on the path of 'sadhana', the more clearly will be perceived the One revealed in the many and the many in the One. In actual fact we are always with the One, but distracted by the many we forget Him." *Milliard = A British noun - A "Milliard" is equal to a U.S. Billion! |

The Gods are Personalities or Powers put forth by the Divineâthey are therefore in front limited Emanations, although the full Divine is behind each of them. Of course, the gods existâthat is to say, there are Powers that stand above the world and transmit the divine workings. It is the physical mind which believes only in what is physical that denies them. There are also beings of other worldsâgods and Asuras etc. There are Gods everywhere on all the planes. The Gods are in the universal Selfâif identified with the universal Self one can feel their presence there. While the Gods cannot be transformed, for they are typal and not evolutionary beings, they can come for conversionâthat is to say, to give up their own ideas and outlook on things and conform themselves to the higher Will and supramental Truth of the Divine. The higher beings are not likely to be in disharmony with each other as they are not subject to the lower ignorance. The Gods have their own enjoyments, though they may not be of a material character. There are no planes of manifestation without formsâfor with out form creation or manifestation cannot be complete. But the supraphysical planes are not bound to the forms like the physical. The forms there are expressive, not determinative. What is important on the vital plane is the force or feeling and the form expresses it. A vital being has a characteristic form but he can vary it or mask his true form under others. What is primary on the mental plane is the perception, the idea, the mental significance and the form expresses that and these mental forms too can varyâthere can be many forms expressing an idea in different ways or on different sides of the idea. Form exists but it is more plastic and variable than in physical nature. As to the Gods, man can build forms which they will accept; but these forms too are inspired into manâs mind from the planes to which the God belongs. All creation has the two sides, the formed and the formless; the Gods too are formless and yet have forms, but a Godhead can take many forms, here Maheshwari, there Pallas Athene. Maheshwari herself has many forms in her lesser manifestations, Durga, Uma, Parvati, Chandi etc. The Gods are not limited to human formsâman also has not always seen them in human forms only. The Gods and the Overmind The natives of the Overmind are Gods. Naturally the Gods rule the cosmos. The Overmind is the world of the Gods and the Gods are not merely Powers, but have Forms also. In the Overmind the Gods are still separated existences. Beyond the Overmind (in the supramental nearest the Overmind for instance) the Gods are eternal in their principle, but not in their forms and separate activities; they are there simply aspects of the One. If you meet a Godhead there, it is not as a separate Person; you feel only the Divine having a particular face, as it were, and relation with you for a certain purpose. The Formateurs of the Overmind have shaped nothing evilâit is the lower forces that receive from the Overmind and distort its forces. Vedic Gods of the Indian Tradition There are many forms of Agni,âthe solar fire, the vaidyuta fire and the nether fire are one Trinityâthe fivefold fire is part of the Vedic symbolism of sacrifice. Vayu and Indra are cosmic godheads presiding over the action of cosmic principlesâthey are not the manomaya purusha or pranamaya purusha in each man. You have a mental being or purusha in you and a vital being or purusha, but you cannot say that you are in your mind Indra or in your vital Vayu. The Purusha is an essential being supporting the play of Prakritiâthe Godhead (Indra, Vayu) is a dynamic being manifested in Prakriti for the works of the plane to which he belongs. There is an immense difference. Yes, Mitra is rather a combination of the two powers [Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati]. I indicate the psychological powers which they [six Vedic Gods] bring with them: MitraâHarmony. VarunaâWideness. AryamanâPower, Tapasya. BrihaspatiâWisdom (Word and Knowledge). VishnuâCosmic Consciousness. VayuâLife. Post-Vedic Gods of the Indian Tradition Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva are only three Powers and Personalities of the One Cosmic Godhead. Brahma is the Power of the Divine that stands behind formation and creation. As for Vishnu being the creator, all the three Gods are often spoken of as creating the universeâeven Shiva who is by tradition the Destroyer. There is no particular connection between Shiva and the Over mindâthe Overmind is the higher station of all the Gods. Mahashiva means a greater manifestation than that ordinarily worshipped as Shivaâthe creative dance of a greater Divine manifesting Power. At Xâs conscientious hesitations between Krishna and Shakti and Shiva I could not help indulging in a smile. If a man is attracted by one form or two forms only of the Divine, it is all right,âbut if he is drawn to several at a time he need not torment himself over it. A man of some development has necessarily several sides in his nature and it is quite natural that different aspects should draw or govern different personalities in himâhe can very well accept them all and harmonise them in the One Divine and the One Adya Shakti of whom all are the manifestations. Shiva is the Lord of Tapas. The power is the power of Tapas. Krishna as a godhead is the Lord of Ananda, Love and Bhakti; as an incarnation, he manifests the union of wisdom (Jnana) and works and leads the earth-evolution through this towards union with the Divine by Ananda, Love and Bhakti. The Devi is the Divine Shaktiâthe Consciousness and Power of the Divine, the Mother and Energy of the worlds. All powers are hers. Sometimes Devi-power may mean the power of the universal World-Force; but this is only one side of the Shakti. Mahakali and Kali are not the same, Kali is a lesser form. Mahakali in the higher planes appears usually with the golden colour. Ganesh is the Power that removes obstacles by the force of KnowledgeâKartikeya represents victory over the hostile Powers. Of course the names given are human, but the Gods exist. Ganesh (among other things) is the devata of spiritual Knowledgeâso as you are getting this knowledge, you saw yourself in this form, identified with Ganesh. |
| Always chant the name of Thakur (God). From the chanting of the name, devotion, liberation and peace â everything will blossom forth. Be with the name with firm faith, reverence and devotion, leaving aside your pride. You will see that all your work gets done all by itself. As such things happened during the course of play of sadhana of this body, this is being said so emphatically. Donât keep aside anything to test God. In that case there is no hope of anything happening towards His revelation. Surrender all your belongings to Him. He Himself sustains and is sustaining your burden and the burden of the universe, remember this. |
