There is beauty in all things! |
My Outlook on everyday things. They say that the eyes are the door to your soul. They can tell others if your happy, joyful, sad, angry, tired, even lie or tell the truth, shall I go on or do you get the picture? |
Well, I'm sitting debating if I want to renew my license or not. I have decided that it is another way that they keep an eye on you. As if I don't have enough people watching me all the time now. Making sure I stay in line, gezzzz, people. You need a life other then mine. Sorry, but I only get one and it's, you got it, MINE! No really, do I really need one? Such a difficult decision today. Stay tuned to the license dilemma! ๐ค๐ณ๐ |
It was a bright beautiful day, what a beautiful way to end it. Walking down a dirt road and kicking a can around, like I did when I was growing up. Hearing the tin hitting the rocks as it bounces across the ground. The sky is full of pinks and oranges from the beautiful sunset beginning. It takes my breath away such nights as this. |
My last day here in California, the last few days it's been smoky here from the Yosemite fire. I can't see the beautiful blue sky and the magnificent mountain range that is around me. I hope that I get a chance to get some more on the way to Reno, hopefully a quick trip to TAHOE. ๐ I will post pictures once I'm home and pic out some of the most beautiful scenery that I have seen in years. I miss this part of our beautiful country. I thought about how it would be to travel like Sum1 does and stay in some of the most beautiful places in the world. Meeting new people and seeing those historical places he does. I envy those who get to travel and see beautiful places. I have the most amazing family and friends that any one person can have. From making sure I gotten to where in needed to be and showing me such a wonderful time. Putting up with me for weeks...lol It had been such a long time since I'd been here they wanted to make sure that I saw others along the way. Like meeting my niece that I'd never met, she's 38, my baby sister and so many others that came to see me. I had so much fun seeing everyone. I dedicate this to everyone who provided me with such a gift from making sure I had a way, food, activities, motels and most of all the love you showed me. I love every single one of you. I'll be flying out Wednesday from Reno, as a surprise for me a dear sweet friend set me up in a 5 ๐ hotel Tuesday night. The most amazing trip I have had in 15 years. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ๐ |
This week we mourn our loss for Stefan Miles, CanImagine a dear friend, colleague, and mentor, you will be missed here on Earth. As writer's we all know that you can learn alot about someone by their work. Stefan was no exception, he is an exceptional person, someone who we will look forward to seeing again and celebrating with. I had the great opportunity to have many conversations with him. We discussed religion, faith, families, and writing, among other things. I had the great honor to review some of his pieces and one stood out
A story about his family, particularly his son. I don't want to tell you about it. Because, I would like you to have the pleasure of reading and reviewing it, as I did. Please, let me know what you think about it. Afterwards, I will let you know what he told me about what happened, afterwards. Especially, if you don't already know what happens. It is a well written piece, as is many of his pieces. His faith was strong and we loved to discuss it, as I do with many of my friends here. It was not a day that you could not find Stefan on scroll. He loved to be involved with friends here and chatted with everyone. A very sincere soul, full of love, kindness, respect and humble. Stefan, I will miss our conversations here, but I know that you are in no more pain. Your sitting at your beautiful desk with quill in hand writing love letters to your family and friends. May God be with them and you, my dear friend always. RIP Stefan Miles ๐ค๐๐ค |
Me oh my... Part One... Most of you know that I'm traveling from state to state visiting my family and friends who are my family. I started out with my son and his wife (daughter) in Little Rock spending the night with them and hugging and spending time with my granddaughters and granddogs too. Had a wonderful dinner, pool time and watching movies. Next stop was my big baby brothers oldest daughter. My brother passed away almost 4 years to the date. I didn't have the opportunity to see her grow up, or even her half sister and brother. Divorce and the death of our mother pulled its toll on my family. We had a very short visit, but that's all that was needed for the moment. After 4 years of trying to get together, we finally got to hold each other. She is pregnant and we plan on me coming when the baby is born. Now, off to Amarillo, TX. to see my little baby sister. As we get around 10 miles outside of Weatherford, TX. The alternator goes out in Mike's SUV. We coast off the exit and into the parking lot of Napa. We found some really awesome people here. It was 3:30 on a Friday night and they were able to get use a new alternator and someone who would put it on. We made it 5 miles to the shop. They had it replaced within an hour and we were back on the road. The most amazing part the bill, $134 for the alternator, shop $104 to replace it. Really we thought for sure that it would be $500 or more. Heck, we were broke down, what could we do just pay whatever they wanted to charge. These people were really awesome to us. I thank Napa and Mikes Repair Center in Weatherford, TX. for being really awesome guys. Had dinner and spent the night talking, laughing and finding out even more about each other. We are rock lovers and decided that our parents must have given us rocks to play with when we grew up ...lol. I'm on a new adventure with river rock and had brought some of my rocks. She fell in love with my idea and went home with several of my rocks. We did have a surprise when we started to go to bed. I was planning on sleeping on the sofa bed. But, it had mouse poop in the sheets. Not something that I was expecting to found. I decided not to sleep on the sofa. It was a very long night. Our plans were to get up and eat breakfast and then I was heading out. Went down to the breakfast buffet. They had cereal, make your own waffles, biscuits, and gravy. The cereal was uncovered, so was the waffle mix and the gravy was runny with tiny specks in it. "What is that," my sister asks. I shake my head and walk away. "Coffee?" I asked. "They don't have creamer," she says. We opt out on breakfast and I call for my ride to pick me up. We say our goodbyes and head out. Will today was exhausting and headed to bed, for an early fun filled day tomorrow on the beaches of Southern California. Love and miss you all. I would love to see tons of poetry posted on my contest page.
Stay tuned for part 2 headed to bed Pismo Beach wore me out today. |
๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ HAPPY ๐บ๐ธ4th๐บ๐ธ of JULY ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ As we celebrate this 4th of July, reflecting back to those who have made this possible for us to roam this great country, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom to do whatever you want. Take a moment to thank those who make it possible for us to celebrate this holiday and other holidays in our great country. I dedicate this to all our military brothers and sisters here on WdC. Thank you for your sacrifices that you make and have made. I love every one of you. ๐บ๐ธ May our flag wave proudly as we celebrate this day. As we celebrate eating hot dogs, hamburgers, those patriotic dessert's and drinks. Remember to be safe and hug those you are celebrating with. |
This will be short one, traveling and it sucks to just have my phone to do it. I'll be back at my brother's tonight then I'll update in general detail. I'm melting in Phoenix today ๐๐คจ๐ I am most definitely not a summer person. But, enjoying the company with my brother. May you all be happy today and always ๐๐๐ |
