Faith to journey as God leads into unknown territories and situations. Where am I going?
Do you know where you're going? I know To Follow Gods Lead

I am in research mode, knowing that God is my light and my guide. Recently I felt prompted to take a very, very close look at Arkansas. When the Holy Ghost gives me direction and I feel urged to act, Most of the time I know it is in my very best interest to do heavy duty in depth research, follow the spirit, pay attention to my feelings, and listen intently for guidance from my Heavenly Father. God is good all the time. Jesus is my friend and He who takes great care of me, and Holy Ghost is my help and my guide.

A stranger comes calling which was not what I had in mind. He was of the shy and aloof type who would run away as soon as I opened the door but only far enough away to feel safe. His black shiny hair seemed to be decently kept and although he was skinny he didn't seem to be in need of emergency help. Because my fiends dog was staying with me for a while I decided to ignore him but then changed my mind a little later. There was something about this individual that drew me to want to get to know him.

Little did I know at the time that it would be the best decision I would make. Of course he had no idea who I was and if I was friendly, so it meant that I would need to spend considerable time and effort to become friends with him and gain his trust.
After about 2 weeks we were friends. Ruger decided to stay here which was wonderful. He had the option of roaming the mountain yet was here unless strangers to him showed up, which was everyone except me.

Now that several months have passed he is friends with Mary on a limited tentative bases. She is my friend from the 90's who drove us to Arkansas. I'm glad she is on friendly terms with Ruger because this means she will be able to take care of him whenever this help may be necessary.

Orchid my hybrid cat has passed over the rainbow bridge so having Ruer show up helped distract me from losing her. She is missed.

Now it is time for me to teach Ruger house rules, how to behave in public, and maybe how to be a cross trained service dog.

Bella is doing well, however she is almost 8 years old, so because it takes at least a year or two to teach a dog to be a service dog I may teach Ruger these skills now so that Bella and I can show him what is required.

I believe he was sent from God.
Safe travels and many blessings.

After a long hiatus from WDC, I have finally been able to return and continue my activities, yeah! Part of my continuing adventure creating word art has taken me outside because spring has definitely sprung around here. It is quickly becoming green all over and the bugs, insects, and other animals are stirring with renewed vigor and enjoyment for these wonderful days.

My joy is being able to share these days with my canine friends who patiently stay nearby keeping me company as I labor over the computer creating art with words.

It's amazing how something can be drastically changed simply because someone went above and beyond the call of duty to help someone. For over a month my Power wheelchair has been at my friends place. This was because there was no means for getting it to me. Many people have helped with many projects which I sincerely and absolutely appreciate. My friends have been struggling because of job hour cuts and other situations. My friend who accompanied me here has been seeking work for months. Other neighbors have had their issues to try to resolve.

Heavenly Father has been with us through all of this though sometimes we may not have been aware of His presence and help. Fortunately my power wheelchair is here now and it has made a dramatic difference in my life and my ability to do more things. With this new independence I have been able to see more of the mountain, take Bella for a walk, and help more things here and there.

I am very, very grateful to my friends for making this all possible. They are troopers. Hugs to you, my friends.
Safe travels and many blessings.

Had I not relocated, I probably would be doing a lot of my usual activities and having the same routine. Positively I would not be participating In NaNoWriMo this year. For some reason when I considered my options for entering the NaNo challenge I decided that I had no idea about what to write, or even a clue about the subject matter. After pondering this for a while I was convinced that NaNo wasn't for me for this year. That was fine with me and I was relieved to have made a decision.

With no warning and time flying suddenly out of the blue I found myself entering a title for NaNo. I was shocked and startled to realize that the date for this day was November 7th of 2016. What was I thinking? Obviously I wasn't and hadn't thought at all and was just proceeding on auto pilot. How on earth did I expect to successfully complete NaNo by the deadline? Was I absolutely out of my mind? I would like to think that my sense of adventure had finally kicked in and my imagination was waking up so that perhaps there was a combination of strengths and will which I could rally and intertwine to get this story written quickly.

Fortunately I had the advantage of knowing the story intimately because it was about my adventure of moving for Maryland to Arkansas. This meant that all i needed to do was write down the events and present them in an interesting and adventuresome way to the reader so that I was showing rather than telling this story.

For the Nano challenge it is turning out more like a telling the story and so when I do the editing I will change the way the facts are explained and shown to the reader.

With Heavenly Father helping me and the software program I'm using writing this story in a timely manner is possible. For three days I worked in chunks of time construction the events of my adventure and now have caught up to where I can take a little more time typing and creating my word art. My original goal was to write 100K but fortunately I didn't change the default goal from 50k to 100k. I have "a very wodehouse challenge to complete along with NaNo so should get going on these tasks.
Safe travels and many blessings.

A week later and I'm finally adding another installment to my saga of enjoying my time in my cabin on the mountain. Everyone is doing nicely, the weather has been warmer than I'm used to this time of year, and, and I managed to submit poetry and prose for consideration to publish. I expect according to the information which arrived in my email inbox that it would be 5 to 8 weeks for a reply to arrive if these items were accepted. If I do not hear anything after the eighth week, then I'll know to edit and improve my work or to find something else to submit. I feel as if this is the year for doing a lot of editing because editing is a major activity which is working out very well. Before this year editing wasn't part of my activities. I struggled to try to edit my NaNo novel years ago and no matter what I did or didn't do the editing was a disaster. Not any more. I've worked onn many of my items and am even getting excited about working on editing and completing my NaNo love;. Safe travels and many blessing.

God has His timing which is something I have learned to understand and be calm, patient, and willing to wait upon without allowing me to become anxious or any of the other emotions which are of no use or harmful to humans. It is best for me and humans al over the world to understand and put into practice being kind to self and you would want to be treated by others and extending this kindness as far and wide as possible, even to enemies. Often enemies can be effected positively by how we treat them particularly if we are kind and understanding. Whatever goes out into the world ripples and extends far and wide.

Disagreements happen and often with some investment of time and effort can be worked out in ways which are acceptable to everyone so peace is the ultimate victor. With this peace we can do muck more good in the world even if it is in our back yard.

I would love to allow Bella to run around the property, however I had discovered that even though there are no major roads and the population is on about an average of 10 acres in this neighborhood, there are dangers and it isn't possible for me to protect her at a distance. Having a fence preferably all around the property is my dream and hope. I need to allow God to in His timing make a way for me to have fencing materials so that my service dog will be able to enjoy herself and be completely safe. My need list is lengthy and requires much help from people so having volunteer help is a matter of waiting patiently until help arrives. I know not what God's time is and how things will work out, however my belief and faith are that al will be well soon. Safe travels and many blessings.

This coming Saturday is going to be a really wonderful and exciting day because people from church are going to help me by installing the rest of the electricity essentials needed, insulation, dry wall, hook up the water, and do a few other tasks which will make a huge difference for the better. Most all of my life God has watched over me and taken care of me and this is proof that He isn't going to stop now.

While the details are as fresh as they're gonna be, I wanted to write them here because this is the next installment to Bella's story and the events with the four cats who are doing very well.

When Orchid accidentally got out she chased Luna to the loft and I heard growls and movement but things hadn't turned into a major cat fight. For this I was very, very grateful and thankful. God is good and He took care of the situation for me. I was able to get Smokey and the new cat who I just decided to name Gatita (need to check for correct spelling) into cat carriers, and then the only one left was Luna.

eventually Luna decided to come down from the loft and I was able to get her into a carrier. The only one left of course was Orchid, who, was quite content to remain high in the loft where I was unable to reach her. Now it was a matter of waiting. Her second helping of food for the days was waiting for and so I hoped this would convince her to come down and eat. No such thing as far as she was concerned. I tried talking her into investigating the prospect of food and enjoying her favorite meat mixture, but she would have none of this. Her response was to growl and stay exactly where she was happily surveying the area.

"Ok, now what do I do?" I thought hoping for some answer that would solve this dilema. Because it was getting very late, at least for me, all I wanted to do was go to be but I couldn't leave Orchid roaming all over and the other cats in the carriers. Briefly, I considered allowing everyone to roam all night, but then remembered that Orchid didn't always appropriately use the littler pan. Here we go again, beck to the waiting game.

After about 10 more minutes passed, orchid decided it was safe to come down from the loft. Carefully trying not to be conspicuous I glanced in her direction to see what she was doing as she walked back and forth, around and around and around, and then finally she went inside her enclosure for food. Yeah! I was grately relieved. Everyone was safe and I could go to bed. While opening the carrier doors and waiting for each cat to emerge from within, I prayed thanks to Heavenly Father for taking care of Bella, the cats, and helping me. I have been richly blessed. God is good all the time. Good night.
Safe travels and many blessings.

When morning arrived I had no idea what events would result in an adrenalin pumping stressful situation, which I hope to never repeat for the rest of my life here on this earth. The day seemed like a normal day. Get ready, have breakfast, let Bella out, take care of the other animals, feed Bella, and then write or finish an art project. I don't easily get bored because I thoroughly enjoy my activities. But,...the events which happened later that day, are enough to make a snakes hair curl.

Several hours went by as I worked with a friends dog getting her used to the grinder which is what I use to trim nails, teaching her to stay in her crate until called, and doing a leave it exercise because she wanted to chase one of the cats. Mary arrived and so Bella and I went out to greet her and we stayed outside a few minutes talking. Bella jumped off the ramp landing ran through the woods and disappeared.

I wasn't about to go inside now. My dog was out there somewhere doing I have no idea what. Usually this isn't a big deal because the other route she takes is towards my friends place which is also where Mary is staying at the moment. The dogs there know Bella and they socialize well, so I felt secure about her being fine.

We both called Bella, she didn't return. Minutes later we heard gun fire. I gulped into my lungs as much air as possible and belted out with as much force as I could her name several times. Nothing, not any sign of her.

I didn't know this until just recently about the way some people handle situations they do not like. Rather than call law enforcement people around here get their gun(s). Solving disputes seems to be a more hands on process and sometimes an animal pays the price. My comfort level with this attitude is beyond very, very uncomfortable. The animals have no idea about our society or rules or laws. They know nothing about property lines, or that people argue over fence lines. The wide open spaces are fun and exciting places to be explored and when necessary like when there is a dog fight it's normal for another dog or two, or so to get involved.

As far as I know, this is exactly what Bella did. She heard a dog fight and decided to get involved. Yesterday she ran off a dog and the next door neighbor admitted this was fine because she was doing her job protecting the property. Now that Bella is involved with a dog fight somewhere unknown, it's a different matter. From what Mary told me about what he texted to her. He was furious because Bella according to him was fighting with other dogs.

I know Bella well enough and have observed her around many other dogs and all she wants to do is socialize and play. This person painted a picture of a dog who wanted to fight and would eventually draw blood and then fight and kill just for the sport. This is a possibility but I doubt it is something Bella would do on her own. She would need to learn this from other dogs. I don't agree with her being on the neighbors property and it is my responsibility to make certain it doesn't happen again, so somehow things will need to change very, very quickly.

As of this moment and actually much earlier, Bella's days of free ranging are over. I can not take the chance of her being hurt or worse. She is my loyal family member and friend, my service dog, and a living creature whom God created that I dearly love. Soon I hope there will be a way to have a very large fence around the property so that Bella has a safe place to run a bit and enjoy life.

Not long after the gun fire, Bella returned safe and sound. She is inside with me now and this is where she will stay unless I take her out on a leash. The tricky part is without my power chair I can not take her for a walk, allow her a lot of space to find an appropriate place for relief, or enjoy hanging outside with her. This is temporary and in time things should be worked out. I thank Heavenly father for protecting Bella and watching out for her. I know that if she gets loose again things might get well...I'll make certain this doesn't happen.

Safe travels and many blessings.

Bella was outside with me this evening when she flew like the wind chasing something. My friend said she heard something which gave her the idea it may have been another dog. For the longest time, there was no sign of Bella, so all I could do is wait and hope she would be alright. Mary told me a few minutes she was going to try to fine her because she heard yipping and thought it may be Bella in distress. Again, all I could do is wait, hope everything would be ok, and trust that Heavenly Father would help her in whatever circumstances she found herself in far from me with no one to help her.

Truthfully, I really don't want any dogs running around unsupervised and away from their people with no one to help them, but especially Bella. She is my service dog, a true and loyal friend, and family member. Around here everyone allows their dog to roam all over the place regularly. Being at the top of the mountain, and having no other choice, I have had to allow Bella to run free and be on her own not having any idea what was happening and no way to rescue her from harm.

Currently I have no financial ability for purchasing a fence, my power wheelchair isn't built for this terrain, and usually Bella is fine and stays close to her home. Most of the time there are no dogs around and the only dog that showed up a week or so ago, she ran off with no troubles. Tonight was a different story.

When Mary returned, she didn't have Bella with her, nor did she have any sighting of Bella. All we could do is wait. I prayed asking Heavenly Father to bring Bella home safely and then waited. I know she had to be gone for almost 45 minutes or more. At least that is how it seemed to me.

Finally I heard her at the door. let her in and was amazed at how hard and long she panted. I have no idea how far away from home she traveled, the route she took, or what she had to do to return. Mary said her eyes, tongue, lips, ears, and whatever places could do this were redder than she'd ever witnessed after Bella returned from a run. She seemed ok except being so out of breath, over heated, and extremely thirsty. Because all seemed ok, mary and resumed reading of the book she brought with her. I very much enjoy when Mary reads to me. She has a very expressive and entertaining way of portraying the characters.

Later when she was about ready to go home for the night, we checked Bella again because Mary spotted something that just didn't look right. Upon close examination it was discovered that something had bitten Bella in the lip on her right side and had also caused some bloody looking substance to be inside her nose. She doesn't seem to be in any pain and is eating and drinking. I have plenty of medical supplies to assist her healing process and we do not have a reliable car, so I'll need to keep a very close watch on her injuries and make certain that she heals completely and properly. Whatever bit her may be some canid of a sort or other, have no idea yet.

My friend and family member is asleep which is something I should be doing right now. However, I wanted to write this story and share with you her adventure. Please keep her in mind as you pray, we would very much appreciate your support.

Coconut oil has antibiotic properties, many essential oils are very beneficial, and I have 35% h2o2 which needs to be very diluted for use in cleaning injuries. Also, Mary has triple antibiotic cream and other first aid stuff. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

Yes, I know usually going to the vet is the first response to such an injury, however, the vet is a distance away, transportation is slim to non at the moment, and I have treated worse injuries successfully. I promise, I'll do everything possible to make certain Bella heals completely and thoroughly and is well taken care of on a daily bases. Allowing her to run free is something I can do nothing about right now unless by a miracle, a huge amount of financial assistance comes my way. Being on the mountain means great difficulty trying to get a fence installed. The land isn't flat and to prepare a lot spot for an enclosure would be prohibitive.

I hope and pray that Bella has learned from this experience and will stay closer to home, preferably within eye sight so that I can watch her. I know, this sounds like I don't wnt to make any changes to protect her, yet, it's not the case. I'm willing to have a huge area fenced in and make c certain she is safe, it takes a huge amount of money to do this. and, thinking about this area, Bella make be in more danger if a big cat were to get into the yard and she not be able to run away. Now I have a huge dilemma. What to do and how to do it even if I had the means?

Well,...I'll need to ask of God for the right answer and then act upon that answer to my very best ability.
Safe travels and many blessings.

One more addition to my adrenalin rush heart pumping experience this evening. I wanted to give Orchid my hybred cat more food. Usually she stays inside her place and waits for food to be placed in front of her. Not this time! She shot out of her enclosure, ran around like the concord, and terrorized the other cats. My heart was in my throat. Rehearsing a quick prayer, I did what I could as quickly as possible to round up the other cats. Two finally were safe in cat carriers but Luna, she was in the loft, so I hoped Orchid wouldn't figure out how to got up there. Next thing I knew, there was a mad chase, Luna flew up into the loft again with Orchid hot on her heels. Drat! Orchid now knows how to get into the loft. There was no way I could get to either cat, so had to listen to scrambling and growling and hope nobody get hurt. Because Orchid years ago used to live with other cats, and she has had the opportunity to to be close to the three domestic felines, I was hopeful for a reasonably peaceful situation.

Heavenly Father answered my prayed because even though there was growling, mostly from Orchid, there wasn't a major cat fight. Luna and Orchid were in the loft for what I perceived as a veery long time almost an eternity. In reality, it may have been about an hour. Because I was going to give Orchid more meat, I placed her food inside her enclosure and closed the door so that she had to go all the way inside. Then the waiting began.

I guess about another 30 to 45 minutes went by and then I spotted Luna laying near the end of the loft while Orchid was abut in the middle. Orchid growled while I was mentally trying to coax Luna to seek to the other side of the loft and come down. Nope, that didn't work. After many more minutes Luna jumped down to where I could reacher her and place her into a cat carrier, Phew! At least the domestic cats were safely inside the carriers. I believe that soon all the cats will be able to roam freely about the cabin as long as they respect each others personal space. Time will tell although I'm to going to deliberately allow the hybrid and domestics to be free at the same time.

After another half hour to an hour Orchid finally decided to come down from the loft for her food. Now she is satisfied having had her meat, the domestics have their food, and I'll soon be ale to go to bed after I check on Bella. This had been quite a day! I am much relieved to have everyone safe again, the ability to take care of Bella, and peace in the kingdom with no major incidents between the cats, God is good all the time!
Safe travels and many blessings.

You'll know you're alive when you've pored 35% strength H2O2 on your fingers totally by accident, rather design. This stuff is the rocket fuel of Hydrogen peroxide. Usually when it is purchased from a grocery store or drug store it is about 3%. Sometimes you can get 12% but it's not available everywhere as far as I know.

Oh boy! are my fingers tingling and kinda burning. My skin is whiter than white sheets, and typing is a challenge. Aside from all this everything is just fine. I need a funnel so that I can fill the small blue bottles as needed. But having no funnel and needing more of this right now, I took a chance and pored from a gallon jug into a very small opening. I'm thankful and grateful I didn't spill a lot of this stuff. Fortunately most of it went onto the floor which doesn't seem to have any adverse effects.

No need for medical intervention unless you drink this concentrated at 35% and that is if you live long enough to get to hospital. The key to surviving is as soon as possible if not sooner. delete the H2O2 with water and get as much off of you as possible. After that it's all about enduring the stinging and burning for 5 to fifteen minutes depending on the strength and amount of peroxide that made contact with skin.

If swallowed and hopefully this would be at a much reduced strength, promptly drown yourself or whom ever consumed it with water. and go to hospital immediately. Take in as much water as fast as possible. This will delete the peroxide and hopefully reduce the damage.

I know about this because a friend twice drank this. Once I don't remember the circumstances and the second time, they got the bottles mixed up which hadn't been labeled. One had water and the other had the peroxide. For several weeks they had to wear a backpack with a solution which was fed IV into their stomach because they could not eat, the damage was so severe.

I know, I know, I should have waited until I had a funnel, but for medical reasons, I needed to fill the small blue bottles. They're filled and I should have more than enough time to get a funnel. I'm fine, tingling and burning is starting to go away. My skin will remain white for a while longer, but eventually will go away.

This stuff is absolutely terrific and wonderful, but, it must be respected and handled very, very carefully. As long as it is properly diluted, it is safe to use in an appropriate manner. Now I can add this adventure to my mountain experiences.
Safe travels and many blessings.
