Good morning all! Happy Memorial Day. *Smile*
Woke to a Mockingbird serenading me. It showed up about ten days ago which is weird because we are normally too far north for them. It arrived with a variety of bird calls as well as the sounds of crickets and frogs. It's been interesting to hear it begin to mimic our local birds throughout the week. What a cool bird to listen to.

Perhaps climate change has messed up his GPS. *Yikes*
Good morning! I love your post. *Smile*
webwitch - First time I saw it, I had to zoom in to see what was going on. It looked like someone pulling a kissy-kissy face.
Good morning everybody! I want to say thank you all so much for the CNotes, messages, reviews and merit badges in celebration of my 20th Anniversary! You all made my day extra special. *Heart* *Smile*
Happy late 20th anniversary! I meant to say something sooner, but life has been busy with me lately and I don't appreciate it's attitude. lol But I'm super happy that you're still around! Take care and thank you for all you do for us around here! *Heart*
I just realized it's 4-20! Here's a fake ad from my experimental folder for your 4-20 entertainment. "BUZZ (News Parody—False Non-fiction)

I knew it was 4/20 but all I thought of was Patriot's Day (commemoration of the Battle of Lexington and Concord, 1775) and the Boston Marathon. But, the most important thing was to ascertain whether or not there would be trash pick-up.

Here is a *Pi* (Pi) poem about pie on Pi Day. "Memories of Apple Pie (a Pi poem) *Pie*
Oh, you clever, clever poet! *Delight*
This had me smiling (and my mouth watering) and the note at the end, oh my gosh.
What a way to celebrate
*Pi* day!!

Thank you for sharing those special memories of your grandma and her delicious apple pie with us.

stoland1999 - Nice to see ya Maddie! Thanks for reading and responding to my Pi Poem! *Smile* Much appreciated.
Picked up some kind of bug that makes it hard to even look at the computer screen. I know I should just let my streaks die, but here I am. *Sick*
That sucks. I hope you feel better soon.
Hope some rest helps and you feel better soon. *Care*
That's dedication!! Take care of yourself and get well soon!
Curious ... do you think an 18+ rating would be high enough for a story about mutilation?
I suppose if there was lots of gory description I would say GC!
jennybowden - I concur.
I had to ask myself a similar ratings question a short time back regarding a poem I was writing. My poem contains pretty graphic (or ugly graphic) descriptions of the 'messier' aspects of inebriation. I felt that the descriptions were so vivid as to be upsetting to some people, so I gave the item a GC rating rather than 18+. I would generally rather have fewer readers than to upset someone.
humblepoet - That's very thoughtful

BOOK
Experimental Writing  (18+)
My attempts at pushing the boundaries of traditional literature with EXPERIMENTAL writing
I just posted "BUZZ (News Parody—False Non-fiction)in my new book: "Experimental Writing
I just read it and found it well-written and amusing.
Politics is fickle, and that makes for fickle laws. I've long said, "Get enough politicians to invest in something and it will soon be legal." Sometimes, the alternative(s) are outlawed.
I guess the best way to win the war on drugs is to just surrender. Think about how much money taxpayers will be saving when all drugs are legally available at the corner market! I find it interesting that many of the signs and billboards which used to read "Dare to be Drug-free" and "Don't drink and drive" have been replaced by adverts for pot shops.

I'm not a fan of legal pot and illegal lightbulbs.

All of that notwithstanding, I still say your news parody is well-written and amusing, . *Smile*
humblepoet - I just want to make it clear, because I wrote a parody on a dispensary opening in the Emerald City does not mean I'm a participant. I don't even live near OZ. *Laugh*
blueyez - Understood, and I assumed you didn't. Real estate prices are probably astronomical anywhere in Oz. *Wink*
