Well OK, I have not given out that many. But EVERYONE can give out a free ONE (1) merit badge each day of the party to someone else!

Took a longer-than-I-should-have break at work and threw some words at a page and then spent WAY too long messing about with editing / formatting / trying to make it look right.

Tossed the words at an AI to get it to format it for me and it screwed everything up and changed a lot of the content and made me angry so I went back to manually formatting.

Oof.

My curse as a writer - I spend more time messing about with the words on the page than with the words themselves.

I coined a new phrase in the office today.
You can choose to pay in pennies

Someone told me a story today about a lawyer who represented several thousand people, sending notice to a company about their lawsuit.

According to the "arbitration agreement" these people had signed with the company, they needed to communicate their representation by legal counsel via an email to a specific inbox.

So the lawyer drafted (his paralegals used mail chimp) ~6000 emails and sent them in - one for each person.

A message with a list of names would've met the agreement's requirements just fine, and been easier to do, but this lawyer chose to pay in pennies.

He complied in the most onerous and malicious way possible.
Is there anything in your life that makes you say "You know what, I choose to pay in pennies"?

Yes, there's also something in here about billable hours and such, I know. It wasn't just a poke in the eye against the "evil corporation" but also a means is maximizing his firm's hours. 🙄.
