Hello Bob, I was wondering if you would be interested in paricipating in:
I asked you mainly because when I searched the site for the genre, "nonsense" yours waqs the first name to come up. If there's one thing we can laways use more of, it's nonsense. |
| As another debate is looming, several media outlets recalled some of the gaffs from the past. A favorite of mine (which later made it into the Brendan Fraser movie "George of the Jungle" was "I knew JFK" (there's your graffiti) In the VP debate, Dan Quayle likened himself to JFK. VP Candidate Benton immediately responded "I knew JFK. Jack Kennedy was a friend. You are no Jack Kennedy!" Visceral roar from the audience (not heard since the days of the gladiators!) |
| the line made it into George of the Jungle, when the Gorilla is serving lunch to the lady and George. (Gorilla is wearing the half-lens glasses Benton favored) Not knowing the Gorilla talks, the lady says "Oh my, an Ape serving us lunch! I feel just like Jane Goodall!" And the gorilla says "Madam, I knew Jane Goodall, and you are no Jane Goodall!" |
Thanks!
