To help get me back in the writing game, I thought we'd have another special round of Mix and Match! I've spent some extra time reworking the game so that it's a little less predictable for me, and it's also easier for me to pick matches! In addition to more off-the-wall potential pairings between characters and plots, I've also decided to up the ante! Every match that is made will now get a 1000 word story instead of a 500 word shorty, and the Endgame winners will be adjusted accordingly to either 2000 word sequels.
That means that you'll get about nine pages of story from me every round we play! Wild, right?
To start, just in case you're new, I'm going to tell everyone how this works. I post three character options (a, b, c) and three scenario options (1, 2, 3). You get ONE vote in each (A & 1 is A1) so there should always be FOUR options that you DON'T vote for. In case of people posting multiple options, I will only take the one at the top.
At the end of the voting period, I mix everything up and see what characters got the most votes and which scenarios placed highest, and then I pair them up! This is one of my favorite games to play and one of the best ways, in my experience, to shake off the cobwebs.
Okay! Are you ready to play? We're gonna start off GAME SIX the right way!
Welcome to the DeviantArt VIP lounge!
These ladies star in the stories from my DA portfolio - but they're not strangers!
Let's give a big fat Writing.com welcome to...
1) ...as, thanks to their second, the first and third are putting on a lot of weight!
2) ...as the first character remains firmly in denial about how huge she's getting...
3) ...as they all find gainful employment (somehow) with Yeng industries?
I had a lot of fun writing this round, and a big thank you to everyone who decided to turn out and vote! I can only hope that there's a lot more where that came from as I steadily get back into the groove of things. With that in mind, the next round is going to be a little commercial break!
"Office fatty" by clutch reached its 800th chapter last night, and I thought it would be great if we honored it in a fun, spontaneous way. Office Fatty has been around since pre-Buttercombe days, and what better excuse to break out a guest character round than this one, right?
The next round will be a bonus round, starring characters from clutch's interactive. These are, however, also characters that I've had plenty of experience writing for over the years, and have shown up in these Mix and Match games more than once before! Let's show this story the love that it deserves with a whole round dedicated to our favorite Office Fatties!
This round will have three options of in each category (A, 1, D = A1D). You will get three votes this time to commemorate the special occasion, one in each category. There should be six options that you didn't vote for! At the end of this round, I tally up the ones that got the most votes and put them together to make 1 0 0 0 word short stories (that's right, I've upped my ante!) out of the stories that they create.
The round after this will be the Historic MILF round, so don't start sleeping on this game yet!
Ready? Let's crunch some numbers!
This is the Office Fatty Appreciation Round!
800 is a big number, but not nearly big enough for these chair squashers!
Let's see what happens when...
A) Jenna, the Big Boss...
B) Alice, the former cheerleader...
C) Christina, the skinny intern...
1) ...has her attempts to diet sabotaged by...
2) ...starts an incredibly fattening relationship with...
3) ...gets in the strangest contest with...
D) ... Victoria, the oblivious Italian secretary!
E) ...Courtney, humongous office mainstay!
F) ...Melissa, the greedy belly groper!
A great way to start off what's hopefully going to be a fun game! I know that a lot of people may not read my DA stories, but it's good to get them involved. Especially here, where things are a bit more disjointed and more things are possible. Thanks to everyone who voted specifically for Bless Her Heart! I know I love that story more than I have any right to.
Okay, moving on to round 2!
For those of you not in the know, this is how it works. A L S O, since I'm working on posting longer stories, I'd like it if y'all would provide feedback for the previous round! It helps me improve, and I love hearing back from you guys!
At the end of the voting period, I mix everything up and see what characters got the most votes and which scenarios placed highest, and then I pair them up! Remember, I've upped it to 1 0 0 0 word stories this time, so your vote will work towards a story twice as long as they have been for the past few years!
Ready? Let's go!
Allons-y, the Attitude Adjustment round awaits!
These gals have been around since Buttercombe opened its doors, and they're still grumpy!
Also, all A's—added alliterative appeal!
A) Ashley Knight...
B) Adeline Holloway...
C) Allison Spades...
1) ...had instead always had a personality that was great for work, but bad for her waistline.
2) ...is getting really tired of her friend being so much happier and skinnier than her...
3) ...wasn't an instructor at Buttercombe Academy...instead, she was a student!
I'm working on a new project starring Harper Black from Daven's Port, and I'd say that I'm about halfway done with the material. If you're interested in getting a sneak peek at the new story that'll take Bless Her Heart's place in the Weekly Release schedule, shoot me an e-mail.
WARNING it's especially NSFW, moreso than my other works. Keep that in mind when you're applying.
Hello everyone, I've landed safely back in China! I'll be having a lot more free time to write for the next few days as my employers allow me to get back into the swing of things. Luckily for you, part of "the swing of things" is making time to write!
Here're three chapters that were posted to the suggestions list. Hopefully they're indicative of more to come!
^Another addition to a long string of my own chapters. This time, working towards the end of Olga's time in the Marshes!
As always, feel free to post suggestions as to where I should turn my attention to next. I like to look at new interactives too, guys! If you think a story has potential, or if there's a chapter thread you think I'd be a good fit for, send it my way!
Hey everyone! My computer back in the States is finally up and running! That means that I've got some time to write while I'm on vacation.
I'm working on a larger project starring Harper Black from "Packing on Pounds: the Piper Black Story" [E] but that won't be ready until after my vacation is over. In the meantime, I'm looking for things to write! Send me storylines that need some love and I'll see what I can do to crank out a few chapters during my last week in the states before I head back to China!
Hey kids, here's an update on my writing scene so far!
Chapter 3 of the Bless Her Heart series is up! This is a weekly series that will be updated for the next six Fridays before it's over. But if you want to read it all now, plus get some neato extras, paypal me $5 at this link https://paypal.me/bobowrites
Also posted on DeviantArt is my story Little which, no pun intended, has gotten much bigger than I anticipated. It might be worth a read!
We've got an Office Fatty chapter posted here called Cass the Gordge Girl centered around a storyline I've been wanting to work on for a while now, where Cass Morgan, fitness junkie radio starlet, becomes a chair-squashing office drone! Anyone whose been reading OF since the beginning knows my love for Cass and Marni!
For those who don't have it followed (shame on you!) Buttercombe Academy II got an update from me and the ever-talented Dr. Faustus in the Rachel Conrad storyline. The update starts here with Perfect Day for a Picnic. The first two are mine, and the last one is his! Better watch this one, folks!
Last but not least, there's the Scarlet Weight Watch story I've been kicking around with WritingInTheVoid! It's been updated a lot since I plugged it last. If you like comic books and weight gain stories, this one's for you! The earliest chapter since its been plugged in my newsfeed is here but you're gonna want to go back and catch up!
I'm going to try and get some writing done tonight! If you have any suggestions, or want to work on a collaboration in the coming weeks, send me an e-mail! Also, feel free to add to any of the interactive links posted above!
If you haven't already, go check out this new story! I'll be updating it weekly for free. OR you can buy it in its entirety here, plus 3 short stories and a What If? chapter based around the main story, all for 5 bucks! All of the money helps keep my lights on back in America while I'm overseas.
Hey kids! This is what I've been killing myself over. Lots of people helped proofread this, I screened for plenty of ideas... lots of spoons went in this pot to make sure it was as good as it could get!
This is the first part of a weekly series that will update every Friday for the next two months. There are nine parts total, all already written and ready to go.
"But Bobo" you might say, "I don't want to wait eight weeks to read it all!"
And that's what I was hoping you might say!
I'm running a special hustle with this one. You're GOING to get the whole story, free of charge. You're just gonna have to wait for it. BUT if you want to read it all now Now NOW (gotta love instant gratification) then you can slip me five dollars at the link below:
It's only five bucks (less than a Venti Pumpkin Spice Latte) and it'd really help me out! Getting money in and out of China is a lot of trouble, and I've got bills back in America to pay. Having a cushion would mean a lot less stress on me.
Not to mention, you get all kinds of stuff to go with it! Not only does your purchase get you the story in its entirety in a polished PDF format, but you also get 3 unconnected short stories (Blue Plate Specials) and a special What If? chapter based around the main story. So that's like, fifteen pages of bonus content! Thirty-three cents a page doesn't sound too bad!
Anyway, I appreciate whatever you can give, even if it's just your attention. Whether you can afford the five bucks or not, I want everyone to be able to read this thing!
I've got about fifty pages of weight-gainy goodness written up and it's in need of some hammering out! I'm picking about three people to take a look and give me some advice before it hits the presses and gets published.
Shoot me an e-mail if you're interested! It's first come first serve! P L U S, all of my proofreaders get FREE copies of the finished product. A N D the bonus features that come with the premium edition later on.
So... you know... shoot me an e-mail! I need feedback!
Remember that Overfed Mom Society idea I floated a while back?
Well, I've turned literally all of my manic energy into laying the groundwork for a tweaked version of that project. And now that I'm slowing down a bit on it, I think it's about the time to ask for some help/feedback on moving forward.
If you're interested in reading about 12 pages of setup spread over two "parts", hit me up.
Then I asked again, and you made it clear—no, 7's enough.
That's fair! I understand. More than eight years and 4000+ chapters between all of them is a lot to take in. Not to mention all of the supplementary materials like the mix and match games and my dA stuff. I got to where I am today with the help of some great writers and a lot of fun characters, but also by having a lot of great readers who provide feedback. I guess the price to pay for helping to create and facilitating such a big web of stories is that, while things might get dull for me, it's hard to actually step outside of that web.
Gotta love that spooky spider simile, just in time for spoopy season.
