The next two weeks will be busy, and time will go fast. This month's prompt is "The Night of Jesus" Reflect on the spiritual significance of Christmas Eve. How does the night of Jesus' birth resonate with your personal beliefs? Write a poem about it.

The contest will change for 2026. Most of the Poietes Group will be changing, hopefully for the better. No prompts, so be sure to read the rules in January.

I decided to not have the prompt contest through the remainder of the year. I will keep the prompt list on it and see if there is any interest in January. The Scripture Poetry Contest will remain as is.

The Scripture Poetry Contest ends tonight at 11:59 P.M. EST. I will post September's Prompt this evening.

One of my favorite 2025 contemporary songs is Jamie McDonald's "Desperate." Have you ever been there? I have. Write a poem about it and enter it in this month's Scripture Poetry Contest. It may help someone. My second favorite is "No Fear" by Jon Reddick. What is there to fear when we have eternal life.
POIETES REMINDERS

Prompts are due on the fourth Friday. Scripture Poetry Contest entries are due on the last day of the month.

Scripture Poetry Contest Reminder

The contest ends at 11:59 on the last day of the month (Monday). All entries get 500 GP's with the review.

I added three Bible questions to Poietes Discussions. I always liked asking questions because if you don't know the answer - don't ask.
