Check this out. Re-built and am willing to even build it again until it's right. It's a true story. It's me that has to tell it properly.....

This is what it means to me. I've never been clearer. But I was just listening. God was doing the talking. See the quotation marks? I was a scribe. There are auto GPs but please say something honest and useful. Even if you are a Christian with a doctrinal issue you would like to make me aware of, I welcome that. I have spent a lifetime reading my Bible and consider it a living Word. All of it. I am also familiar with many Christian doctrines which is why I'm not a Christian but I am a Christ follower.
Looking forward to hearing whatever is on your mind. Thanks for reviewing this one in particular, Marlin Spike

I'm on my way to enter another contest. Use your imagination and figure out which one. If I had a clue I would go sailing with you. Since I don't, I won't. But that doesn't mean you won't review. When you review me I'll review you, too.

Let me know how this one hits you. I better see if it came
through to my portfolio in one piece. This is far different then anything I've posted to date. Looking forward to some reviews.
I just posted, Not Just Shadow. It's got a twist. It is a true story but I did something to it. Check it out, Marlin

It was pointed out to me that this letter to a friend
needed editing. I had forgotten I had posted it as written, meaning to polish it up a bit if anyone was interested.
I was forced into remembrance when I received a negative review and 13 GPs. Heh!
It is an answer to a friend's query as to my experience with any heavy weather. Pretend like you wrote me the
letter and this is your answer. Marlin

This is fresh off the press. Haven't proofed or edited yet. It's the beginning first draft of the WDC character building contest using a quick job change as a prompt. I haven't even read it out loud yet but I like the premise.

Everyone is familiar with the story of David and Goliath. This is a slightly different take but follows scripture. I have totally reworked it, hopefully making it user friendly. It is an explanation of why David chose five smooth stones from the brook when one would think he only needed one to kill Goliath. One is all he used so why did he carefully pick four more? Check it out. Auto-rewarded.

Shanghaied--- SanFrancisco-- circa 1850  [E]
Is there anything worse than waking up after a night on the town, on a slow boat to China?
This edit was a lot of work but worth it. It's fuller and more connected. Laid out better with attention towards everything. Structure and content. It is an interesting period of American History. When researching San Francisco's incredible History, I feel sometimes, as if I'm peeking under the covers. There are so many things to discover and uncover, a lot of factoids are hard to believe they aren't fiction. They are simply unbelievable. Check it out.

I totally reworked this. Am entering it in the humorous poetry contest. The prompt was a photo of a dog on the beach, running free, sun setting and a four foot swell, waves crumbling for a back drop. I turned serenity into chaos. The judges were looking for syrupy, dog is man's best friend, touchy, feel good, me at the beach with Barney sharing his final summer and sunset before I put him down for his own good stories. This isn't that!
