Say I don't have the money to upgrade, but I don't have any more portfolio space. How can I quickly store up gift points to be able to upgrade?

Another trick (though technically cheating) would be to put multiple poems in the same static item, a collection of sorts, as the maximum item size can easily handle quite a few poems. Just might not look as nice.
