In my view, the primary focus should be on encouraging the writers to write. I do not review items I don't enjoy anymore because I see it as a waste of my time. So, if you get a review from me, I enjoyed reading your work. The amazing thing about this whole process is that reading an inspiring review usually leads to me reading more of a reviewer's work also. So, it's a win-win.

I will not review...
something I do not like. I do not enjoy writing hyper-critical reviews. I do NOT believe that "honesty" is a synonym for "mean." If I see someone being "mean" here on the public reviewing page, in group behaviors, or just acting as a bully I will not send them my reviews. The only exception to that would be judging a site contest - there all items get honest (and hopefully diplomatic) reviews of the work from me with no exceptions.

What does HOOves think about while perusing your item?

This made me remember about Daenerys and her dragons and all she went through. I think her dragons were sweet and lovely from what I remember. It was the humans who made life difficult for her.

I liked thinking about this and remembering her interactions. The actress who plays Daerynys was in a movie I liked that was based on a book. I can't remember the title of it, but she had dark hair.

I enjoy thinking of the rain as a blessing. It is scary sometimes, when it storms, but in moderation it is one of life's joys and why we have the beauty around us in spring.

I like the idea of choosing to look at the rain as a positive event and influence in life. Weather forecasting portrays every rain storm as the potential end of the world. I like looking at it as a blessing. It is a different perspective and I enjoyed reading your take on the magical rain prompt.

I think about all the books that we love and how the magical book store can bring all those characters to life! Very engaging idea for your poem!

Who could resist the idea of dancing with Mr. Darcy? I think the combination of Jane Austen and Colin Firth is unbeatable! Somehow, I think Jane Austen was magically transported to the set of the 1995 version of Pride and Prejudice.

How else could it be so much more magical than the other versions?

Your poem is lovely and imaginative - well done!

I liked how the book characters came to life for Julie. It encourages using one's imagination when reading to bring characters into our world.

I think Janet is kind and cares for all animals and humans. This works out to be good for her in the end.

Nancy's curiosity about the rain bow led to danger from the beautiful Tasmanian Tiger. The babies sound adorable.

I like how the Tasmanian Tiger watches her like a benevolent spirit who has to keep things safe for his family, but does not harm her. Nancy was kind to the little tigers so maybe that is why she was spared.

I felt like I could picture the little tigers and I wanted everyone to be okay.

I thought about all the places a scarf could travel to once it is lost. It is nice that a nice corgi ended up with it and brought it home.

I always enjoy reading about how dogs bring things to people who have lost something. Either a dog finds it or the dog finds something equally meaningful.

Love corgis and the fashion aspect of a corgi wearing a lovely scarf.

The news I watch is from Australia and England. They don't have leaders now like Winston Churchill was either. It's sort of pathetic with the politicians who are supposed to be leading the world. At least the news in Australia and England tells the truth about the US, unlike the networks here. They definitely push a point of view from both angles.

There was a lot of action. I always found Batman/Jeff to be a good sport and have a positive attitude in everything he does. I don't think he takes stuff in competitions personally.

He's never called me names or (besides tHiNg) or blocked me or been silly that I know of and he's been here a long time.

Hope he has a sense of humor (I really do believe he does) because I still call him "Batman." LoL

You set the stage very well for an adventure with a ghost in a lighthouse in Maine on a stormy night. I could picture everything there from your vivid descriptions.

Using a lottery to pick a queen is risky for everyone. The wish that the king is kind and that kindness prevails is a good one.

What does HOOves think about while perusing your item?

This is interesting because it has the pig point of view and the human point of view. The pigs leave for a new home where they think it will be better. But really they weren't that nice to Megan, the human here, either so there were two sides to the story.

I thought about Draco and about how Marina's love transformed his life and saved her from unhappiness. A little kindness can go a long way in producing a positive outcome.

I guess it is like being written out when we move when we are young. That is a creative use of the prompt. So is being written out of a soap opera plot because a character goes to jail. It's like too much evil has happened there.

I knew Eldora was trouble when I read that she had it in for dragons. Dragons can be such sweeties, much nicer (in some cases) than humans.

I liked the outcome and that it worked out well for everyone except the one who was mean. If only real life would be nice that like, but the mean ones aren't typically the obvious ones (like dragons). They mostly take on a human form at times.

I thought about how you conquer your reluctance to go on an under sea adventure. Your descriptions paint a vivid picture for me to imagine being there. I would never do this, but it's fun to imagine it all.

I love how you, the narrator, make friends with Nessie and Nessie becomes your good shepherd, leading you to safety of the shore. It is nice to read how trust develops between two very different individuals.

What does HOOves think about while perusing your item?

I felt sorry for the dragon, Rogan and was glad that the wizard gave in and helped him.

What does HOOves moo appreciatively about while reading your item?

I liked how when they focused on helping others that things went well for them. The Wizard helps Rogan and he ends up with a good life. Princess Catherine puts Rogan before herself and ends up with a happy situation.

I enjoyed reading your story very much! Poor Rogan is okay now and that's great! Well done!

I thought about how much the world has changed in such a short time. It seems like steam engines have been a big part of that change, making transportation easier.

It is amazing to think about how much has changed so much, just in our lifetimes. Germany is smart to still use the steam engine. I sometimes think our country is too quick to change what works.

This was interesting and informative and I learned about steam engines. Nice job!

I loved how she didn't know she was poor. Adelaide went on faith and helped the lightning bug become her good fairy.

I thought your story showed a lot of imagination. I was glad the she did the kind thing and it led to being a princess. I can see Catherine doing the kind thing. Meghan, not so much.

What does HOOves think about while perusing your item?

I like that fate takes the narrator into the doll shop to find the doll made with her in mind.

What does HOOves moo appreciatively about while reading your item?

I liked the decision, at the end, to keep the origin of the doll a secret from the husband so he won't be hurt or jealous. It's not like she has feelings for "Scott" anymore. It's nice that the two women rise above what went on before and are friendly to each other.

What does HOOves think about while perusing your item?

I thought about what I would do with a windfall. I guess the only thing is I would get a reliable 2nd car so I have a spare one on hand at all times. I had two cars but one wasn't reliable.

The idea of cruising around in the Batmobile made me smile. I'm too old for it, but I still remember, singing the Batman theme while driving when I was a young and impressionable calf.
