Speed Reading/reviewing- 1000 word story won't even take me five minutes to read, and you'll get a review within 10 minutes of me reading it. As it is, my reviews are usually around 300 Characters- minus my Review Sig. However, sometimes they'll reach the 1,000 Character mark. Depends on the Story/item. *Bigsmile*

Books - well, not through a Review Request page anyways, as I'd would have to review the book itself and not the Chapter, in order to get paid, but I will review them if you ask me in an email. Let's see here. You have a young - wait, she's not even a woman - girl, who holds special importance to a young mob boss. It seems that she was captured and is being used as bait to get to her boyfriend. Rather interesting.

You have some interesting characters, though they could be better described.

I don't see any problems with Spelling or Grammar, but I'd place some space between the paragraphs, to make reading easier.

Suggestions
I'd increase the Rating on this story to 18+, maybe even GC, due to violence and swearing, and said swearing includes a few uses of a big swear word around here - the kind that if used twice in a story of about 2,000 words would generally get it bumped to GC - substitute said swear word and you might be fine with 18+, although some might say otherwise anyways.

This is an interesting poll. It asks people the question about if writing in multiple genres is a Good thing, or a Bad thing. To be honest, I find this to be a good thing. If you can show that you are talented across multiple genres, it's a way of showcasing your ability and skills, and you're not stuck in only one section. Of course, sometimes one writes similar things in different genres, but the trick is knowing how to twist things right.

You have a story about a woman who, along with her dog, lives in a cabin in the Wilderness. One day, they have an encounter with a rogue bear, and the dog is forced to fight to protect his owner. Talk about being Man's Best Friend.

Well, this is an interesting contest. Create a story that has a Steampunk theme, and using the prompts to be utilized, you could get some very nice prizes, including the very nice Stempunk Merit Badge, which is nice to have if you like to write, or at least support, such things.

This is a fun group to check out. It's dedicated to that subgenre of Science Fiction known as Steampunk, where everything runs on steam, or looks like it was invented in the 19th century, instead of the 20th/21st centuries. Makes one want to do some thinking.

Originality
I haven't seen any other groups deal in this type of story-making around here.

This is an interesting story. A woman finds out that her neighbor was the victim of a Halloween prank, involving a bunch of eggs. However, as she tries to help the guy, he begins to act very strange, especially when the garbage is mentioned, and makes a terrifying discovery.

Well, this is very nice to know - a link to the NaNoWriMo website, which a good number of people disappear to during the month of November, when they are challenged to write a Novel containing fifty - thousand words or more. I thought about doing it once, but I've long lost that fire, and I deal with shorter things these days, mostly. That being said, it's nice to find a link to the site.

Well, this is an interesting poem. It seems to be from the point of view of a female werewolf, who seems to enjoy being in her wolf form, as it frees here from the various constraints imposed upon her when she is in her human form. Very interesting.

You have created what looks to be the start of an interesting Fantasy/Sci-Fi story. You have created a world that is half covered in Light, and half covered in Dark, and those who are from one side can't live on the other, except for the boundary between the sides, known as the Gray. This is where the Royal family lives, as the King is from the Dark side, and the Queen is from the Light. One day, one of their children goes missing, and they must find them. Looks good so far.

So far, your characters look interesting. Of course, I wouldn't mind knowing a little bit about the armors the soldiers wear - do those from the Dark wear Black, with those from the Light wearing White, or some such thing? *Bigsmile*

Well, this is a nice little item to find. It tells what the site's doing for its birthday, and who all's celebrating. It's always good to get into the spirit of things, because it's at this time of year that practically everyone, who can, is hosting contests, auctions, raffles, and just plainly giving out Gifts of Gift Points, Awardicons, Merit Badges, perhaps some Memberships, and a whole host of other things. One has to love this time of year, especially on this site.
