A well written story, placed me in the moment and almost in the room with characters. I felt as if the story was being told to me, it grabbed my heart and soul, and I felt your pain.
So sad that too many times this same situation happens to children, and follows them into adult life and more pain.
If this was your story, may God bless and walk with you, but if fiction, you have done a fantastic job of bringing this to real life living.
Too many times, things happen to us, and we punish ourselves, when in fact we have done nothing wrong.

This story was so sweet, well written making the reader feel the excitement, and happiness of the event. The story took me back to times in my life as a child. The panic of needing money for such a good cause, but learning how to gift love without spending money was the best lessons learned.
Life is hard growing up but this was really a stepping stone on the right road. It's amazing how much we can learn from children if we just take the time to listen to them.
I really enjoyed reading this.

Loved your story! As an animal lover, I could relate to this and feel the passion from the farmer.
My grandparents had a farm, and I have many loving memories of my visits with them.
Your story is almost reading like a true event and I enjoyed it very much.

Thank you for sharing this, it is truly beautiful. I felt like I was the actual person in this story, and can relate to it, as I just lost my wonderful sister-in-law to dementia. The last few days before she passed, I spoke to her, even though she didn't know me or could not respond back to me. I told her that I knew she was in there, and I prayed so hard for her to find the peace she needed.
I used to think that cancer was the worst illness to have, but dementia is the worst disease to watch a loved one endure. It slowly takes your memories away, and your brain stops giving directions to your body, and you die.
I admire any family or caretakers who watch their loved ones go on this journey.
This was written with great detail, and allows the reader to step inside for a personal trip.

What a wonderful, heartwarming story, not only for animal lovers, but for anyone who has known the love of an animal or even a human in their lifetime. I felt that this story was written well, good grammar, but most of all, told the life and times of a very dear friend. So sorry you lost Buster, but he left you with so many good memories to cherish. Writing about the things we know works best for most of us writers, so keep writing, please.

Since I love nature, I thought this was a feel good story. This is written really well, with a vivid picture of some of God's greatest creations. The words were written with
beautiful emotion, putting the reader in the forest, too.
I like to do reviews, and really enjoyed reading your work. When I read something, and it touches my emotions, I feel that the author has met his purpose and meaning for writing the story. Grammar and spelling were good, but I think the emotions and feelings are more important. Everything flowed with beauty and grace.

What a beautiful poem, one that not only speaks the words, but paints a picture for the readers. This is well written, good grammar and spelling. The words flow easy, maybe from living it or the experience of working a ranch. Nothing like growing up on a farm or ranch, working hard, but at the end of the day, reaping the rewards. The air is clean and there is enough "quiet" to allow for dreaming or writing down whatever runs through your mind.
A farm or ranch leaves room for clean, pure living and the love of a family by your side.
I look forward to reading more of your work, as I have really enjoyed this one.

This is a great story and I love dogs, too . My brother lives on a corner lot and takes in all the strays that seem to find their way to his house.
I think the word has gotten out that the "dog man" on the corner will take any you don't want or can't keep. Animals are such a joy and they bring
love and smiles to those who treat them kindly.

What a beautiful and heart warming poem! The words are well written and paint the picture of your childhood in a perfect way.
I don't write poetry but enjoy reading the work of other authors who do. I like to read the ones that take me on a journey to the place and time in the mind of the author.
You have done a great job, and it sounds like you came from humble beginnings and are a better person for it. saying. If it tells a story or makes me sad or laugh, I feel the need to send a review. Your poem tells how life can be, straight on. I have found myself in this cycle of friends and strangers, many times during my life, and it is what it is. You can spend hours or days trying to figure out what happened or how to fix things, but it never works out.

This is a very profound and heartfelt poem, and I enjoyed reading it very much. Your pain and feelings come through the words you have written so that anyone reading
it, will feel it. I have known mothers and daughters with relation problems, and your poem touched my heart. Your writing is good and speaks to the reader in a most
beautiful way.

I don't write poetry, but enjoy reading the work of others, especially if it makes me sad or happy. The form, spelling, and grammar are good, but mostly I look for

I loved the wit and the splash of colors the words were written with. This is a fun poem, but paints a picture of some neighbors I have heard about. Your words put the reader in the adventure and fun of it all. I don't have experience of writing poems, but love to read the work of others, especially when they make me laugh or cry. The form is good, as well as the spelling and grammar. I think you have more talent than you give yourself credit for, so keep writing and bringing smiles to others.

I found this to be very interesting and well written. The content speaks words of wisdom for each to practice in life. We are our own worst enemy, and our own self-help at the same time. You offer words to encourage thinking and living life. The human ego is a mind boggling thing, but under control can work in a positive way, too.
The spelling and grammar are good, but the message and content are the factor in which I like to review. This is very good and your writing is going in the right direction.

Welcome to WDC and thank you for writing one of the most beautiful stories that I have read in a very long time.

You have captured the magic of Christmas and described the feelings and love with your words. I truly felt the peacefulness fall on me as I was reading

your story, and was taken to a place that was quiet and filled with love and wonderment of the season. I'm sure this is some of the same feelings the

three wise men were feeling when they saw baby Jesus for the first time. How wonderful it would be if the world could experience this peace every where.

I loved this poem and once again, you have written words to make us smile. I'll smile every time I hear "Nights in White Satin".. :) :)

I'm sure this is the actions of many who are over a certain age. I think you should send this poem to Betty White, as she would love it, too.

Writing a poem set to a song is very clever and even better if it's funny. Keep up the good work and who knows, maybe we'll see you on the big screen. :)

Your story speaks for so many people, but they don't know this, or have not found the answers as you have.

I was very moved when reading your story, and want you to know that it is very beautiful and honest.

Having a family is not always the answer to happiness, as you have shown with your story. A person can have family but still be lonely, and I was reminded

of this when reading your story. This was well written and would be an inspiration for anyone who reads it. It would be wonderful to see this published as a self-help

book, giving hope for others who may have lived the same way.

I enjoy doing reviews when something touches my emotions, and want you to know I think you have a lot of talent and hope to see more of your work.

This is very well written and applies to more people than I can count. All of your thoughts come together as if your are talking to a crowd.

The form and your style makes it easy to read, with the feelings of the words touching the reader. When I read something that I can FEEL, I like to

tell the author how much I enjoyed reading it. The spelling and grammar were good, but don't really matter if there is true words with feeling projected.

When we are reminded of others who don't do well with holidays, we have much to be grateful for if we have family and friends and wonderful holidays.

Thank you for writing this and I hope it helps us all to help others during their trying times during the holidays.

This is very well written and expresses the fears and thoughts that most of us face from time to time. I like this style of poetry and the way it shows the problems of anxiety and trying to come to terms with it. I have not tried to write poetry, but this style flows and speaks easy, without the challenge of rhyming.
Your writing style comes from real problems and emotions and I like that.

I don't usually read or like Sci-fi, but I found this very interesting and it held my attention all the way to the end of the story. I feel that there is more to be written, or should be, because it has a nice story line. There is suspense, with some twists and turns, and a touch of horror.
The form is well written and reminds me of an old "Twilight Zone" T.V. show.
You have a good start for this story, so keep up the writing.

I found this to be written with loving thoughts and it's easy to see why it is titled, for someone special. The words speak for your heart and you should be very proud of your writing talent. The technical things I observe, but saw no mistakes. I'm not a poet, but I do love to read the work of others. This poem would be one I would buy if written in a card or book, as the words would fit my love for my daughters or my mother, too. There are so many selfless people in the world who would gladly appreciate this poem, if it was sent to them.

This is very well written, describes the story with a video touch, and takes your readers to the room with your character. At least that is what I was feeling when I read it and enjoyed the story and the fact that it could or should continue to the next "hour" and week.

You have a nice talent for writing and I hope you write many more stories. The grammar and spelling looked good, but I usually just pay attention to the story line and if I can feel what the author is feeling or not. Good luck and happy writing.......
