|Thank you for sharing this, it is truly beautiful. I felt like I was the actual person in this story, and can relate to it, as I just lost my wonderful sister-in-law to dementia. The last few days before she passed, I spoke to her, even though she didn't know me or could not respond back to me. I told her that I knew she was in there, and I prayed so hard for her to find the peace she needed.
I used to think that cancer was the worst illness to have, but dementia is the worst disease to watch a loved one endure. It slowly takes your memories away, and your brain stops giving directions to your body, and you die.
I admire any family or caretakers who watch their loved ones go on this journey.
This was written with great detail, and allows the reader to step inside for a personal trip.
Thank you again.
