What a sad poem that shows a lot of emotion of hurt. It is very sad when someone leaves us and we know that we won't see them again in this life. It is hard to collectively understand it all. I am sorry to hear about the death your friend and can only say that in time you will get through it. I lost a good friend as well, it has now been 8 years and I still think about her. Beautifully written poem about your cat. This poem shows the writer's sincere love for her pet cat. While reading this poem, this reader could feel the love that the owner had for the cat and the joy that the cat contributed to the writer's life. Losing a pet is painful as they are part of a family and their death has a lasting effect in their owner's life. I felt a sense of lonliness when I lost my favorite fish "David" and for a while I could not add another fish to the tank. It is interesting what our pets brings to our life.
