Thanks, Harry - another well written poem. It is strange that as I read it, the soldier on leave could have been an American, so I was a bit surprised when I read the ending and he was a Nazi soldier. So many were killed - had to be one of the worst and claimed so many lives of our soldiers who fougt to end this war in Germany. Many of the survivors will never forget, as they were freed from the death camps.
