Review of Summer Salutation

Beautifully written, this salutation of the changing season! Fall is one of my favorite seasons - The transformation of the leaves and flowers is evident in this free verse poem. The flow and imagry works well, not an error noted. My favorite lines:
"The changing season
reaffirms that all is well;
the circle is unbroken;
that life continues."
I shall mark this one a favorite to come back to. Keep up the good work and write on!

Review of Father

A very well written, inspriational write! The poem is uplifting and a pleasure to read!
My favorite verse is the second:
"Father's arms protect, enfold.
Father's arms are present, safely.
Narrow, hard yet worth the struggle,
Father's way is through the valley."
Wishing you good luck in Monty's contest!
Write on!

Review of My Sweet Jasmine

What a well written, wonderful story! It held my interest throughout, as this also happened to my sister. It is a terrible disease, this loss of memory. the confusion and it is very hard on the family - the caregivers who searh for answers. It takes a heavy toll.
No errors noted in this story, it is one of the best I have seen for a long time!
Thank you for this entry! I will be reviewing all entries when the contest closes, but this is one I will not forget!
Keep up the good work, write on!

Review of My big dream
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
A remarkable story you have written here! To think that foster parents (or any parents) would abuse a child like you have described is inhumane! The girl had a lot of courage and strength to continue on with her schoolwork and hockey while being so badly beaten! I was glad to see that in the end, she was able to escape the abuse and go to her friends - and finally to the police. It is a miracle that she survived the beatings. Nick should have taken her to a hospital when she first told him, but it was good to see that she was finally convinced that she was going to be okay! The story is well written, no errors noted, and I hope that you continue writing! I was riveted to this story!

Okay, I am hooked on your writing, Harry! This one is special to me, as I lost my oldest daughter to cancer in 2012. She also fought hard. For you to lose a dear friend and be able to put into words how she dealt with it, to the very end, makes her a person who has much faith and a fighting spirit! God rest her soul -
Your heart is in your writing! Thank you for sharing it.
Take care, Write on!

I have read some of your writing, and the story poems are excellent, I shall mark this one a favorite to come back to! This story of an old man and memories made, long remembered, is so true of life and how we look at it.
My favorite lines "The sea and life are not yet
finished with us, for we can
endure more before we're done."
I can visualize him throwing the stone back into the sea - great imagry there! Yes, I will be back to read more of your writing, you are one of the best!

Review of Harmony
Rated: E | (5.0)
A well written story, held my interest throughout. The story shows the difficulties of seeing the loved one go off to war, and get injured. It shows the enduring love and strong will of the wife. Against all odds, they carved a harmonious life together. The animals are a joy to them. No errors noted and no way I would offer any changes to it.
Keep up the good work and write on!

Review of The Diary

This is hauntingly beautiful - an excellent tribute to those lost in March 2014, when the mudslides crashed down on homes and families. You have captured the essense of the heartbreak felt for all the people who met their maker with no warning. Again, I stand in awe - Well done, dear friend!

Review of "We Can"

Thank you for the entry in the Honoring Our Veterans May contest, Ken! This is an exceptional write, one I shall mark a favorite. It is those of us who are left behind that need to remember the sacrifice given. So easily forgotten in the hustle and bustle of living, this poem brings a reminder of the price paid by our sons and daughters, our fathers and mothers who grieve the loss. Not an error noted, no way I would offer any changes to it - Well done, my friend, Write on!
