Review of A New Day is Born
Rated: 18+ | (5.0)
This is an emotional, heartfelt write tha held my interest throughout. Very well written, no errors noted. Going through a difficult childbirth, almost losing your life, is a tribute to your will to live! The second pregnancy is told with mixed emotions that I, as a reader, understand the situation, feeling the fear after the first child of going through the risks again. That and with the feeling of responsibility you had for your sister's schooling. The one thing that I thought of when I read that a child's middle name would be the family name, allowing families to be traced back for generations, was that it could be so helpful to any geneologist! I love the name you chose, April Joy - it brings sunshine and is a feeling of blessing that you received. I look forward to reading more of your memoirs. Keep up the good work and write on!

A great review - not so sure I want to see the movie, but it does have some appeal for some folks *Smile* You give a great in-depth review of the movie, and the ratings you have given it for different age groups is good! I like your ending "There is a message to this movie: live your life to the fullest and don't be afraid to get old."
All in all, an enjoyable read!
Keep up the good work, Ken!

Review of Percipience
Rated: 13+ | (5.0)
It is an amazing poem, you have taken me into one of my worst nightmares! The thoughts are not of a child, but for a man who has lost all and waits for death to come,
Driven by madness into this dream, cursing the heavens when he should be praying to God to be released from the torture.of the darkness and unseen entities that prey on a warped mind. Actually, it is well worth the read, and though an original, well written poem, there are people who go through this. Not an error noted, no changes would I offer to it. Keep up the good work, my friend, and write on!

Review of Perspective

Yet another excellent poem! Thank you for your entry in the Honoring Our Veterans Contest! Not an error noted, no way I would change a word of it - Jy favorite verse is:
"I honor those who serve today.
I understand the cost.
The price of service that they pay,
the moments that are lost."
That verse says it all - and will mean so much to veterans and those serving today -
They will read with respect your feelings here! Well done, Ken!
I will be reviewing all entries when this contests closes on the 31st! WRITE ON!

THANK YOU for your entry in the Honoring Our Veterans Contest! This is very well written and very true! The flow of the poem is good, no errors noted! I share your feelings about how the Viet-nam veterans were treated on their return home - and am so glad to see that that has changed - that most Americans now honor their sons and daughters who lay their lives on the line for us! I will be reviewing all entries when the contest closes, until then write on - and come back to our future contests!

An excellent write, Ken! I really like this one - Strange things happen (here I go again with memories) I was in Germany with my husband on a military base when I woke up to cold, and knew somehow that a brother had been killed in a granite quarry accident. I was not notified until the next day - but this story reminded me of that night when my brother came by - 'Nuf said. I'm marking this a favorite to come back to -
Not an error noted, no way I would change a word of it. WELL DONE, as always!

Another great write, I love it *Smile* Selective hearing, not deafness - You've woven this bit of humor well, as I knew you would - and always do. Your sense of humor amazes me! You even used the prompt word "Peace" *Smile* and it works well in this write! Not an error noted, I can almost picture you and your wife exchanging some words - and frustrating as it may be to her, she has the patience to grin and bear it... Now the cure for that may be for her to start whispering and see how fast your hearing improves *Smile*
Great job, keep up the good work and WRITE ON!

Review of A Heart's Dream

Oh Ye of little faith - this is a beautifully written poem! I must read the "directions" again as to how to do it and give it a college try! The poem flows well, not an error noted and no way I would offer any changes to it. How very true this is, some memories come unbidden, bringing back the loves of the past. It is a haunting poem that will stay with me as a favorite. It ends well with :"With time as a balm, love can grow and thrive." Past love remembered, as in the pages of a time-worn book, along with hope for the future and new love coming along - I love this poem! I think it's the story of my life *Smile* WELL DONE!

What a great poem! And such good advice for the younger generation to read and absorb! Too many times the young race headlong into a life that they think will be wonderful, only to fall along the way. Not an error noted, the poem is well written and easy to read. I enjoyed it very much and will mark it a favorite to come back to.
Keep up the good work and WRITE ON!

An excellent poem, a poetry form I am not famiiliar with but one I may try on for size one of these nights. My favorite lines are these -
"There is a secret place I go
that’s filled with calm and peace.
It gives me strength so I can grow,
as concerns I release."

Sounds like a perfect place to go *Smile*

Also, I want to thank you for remembering me in the BONES game - You sure do have a lot of friends - and you are a generous soul!
Thanks for being YOU!
