Thank you for your entry in the Senior Center Contest! Original, flows well, as I have come to know your excellence in writing - well done! I certainly can relate to this poem, of being so alone but with memories of those gone before. When the body ages, the mind remains in touch with happier days and loved ones. You have captured the spirit of the elderly with this.
An amazing heartfelt write!

A great poem, I'd rather be ELSEWHERE too - My only concern is that I didn't see the prompt word (FAITH) - although you have to have a lot of faith to keep on "keeping on" when you can't find ELSEWHERE The poem was a pleasure to read and I loved it -
Keep up the good work and write on!

Two of my brothers and myself, had a kidney removed. Their's was cancer, mine was not -
That note has naught to do with the story, but with your message to me concerning your diagnosis. MAY GOD BE WITH YOU! We three all survived the operations, and my prayers are with you - YOUR FAITH WILL KEEP YOU STRONG! GOD BLESS!

An intense write, you have either been there or have the ability to see beyond what we see - as war - This is very well written, I find no errors or any way I would attempt to change a word of it -
You have taken a young soldier from the depths of fear to the courage to fight, presenting death in a realistic manner, the horrors of war...
to the ending that we see with the tears flowing as a flag-draped coffin comes home. I will mark this one a favorite. I would certainly recommend this write to everyone. Well done!

WELCOME TO THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF WRITING.COM - and I love this poem, having a son of my own - with different problems at 48 and me wishing he was young enough for me to reprimand and change his course - although only he can do that for himself!
I really enjoyed the poem, flows well and is heartfelt! Keep up the good work and continue writing! Poetry comes easy to me, and your poem, i hope, is only one of the first of many to come! I will be back to read and review, so WRITE ON!

I just found your story in the Spiritual Newsletter - and what a blessing it is! Your words echo my own, with my own son - who has survived many brushes with death, and with me taking my own sweet time about Letting Go and Letting God! It takes time, but I at last have started to let go of what I can't control. You have put into words direction and encouragement and learning to let go - It means a lot to me, and I shall mark this a favorite to come back to!
THANK YOU - GOD BLESS!

Holy Smoke! THIS IS OUTSTANDING! I was humming along all the way through - it's really a SINGABLE SONG! I didn't thing anyone would choose that prompt (GLAD YOU DID!) but you really should get this one published - it's a new country song that would steal many a heart, hit-parade quality! I kid you not!
One very minor and easy to fix correction in the Chorus - second line,
"The wind sings it songs" - you just need to add an "s" to it...
I have to mark this one a FAVORITE. Well done, original, perfect!
A winner for sure! Thank you for the entry in the Country Music Lovers Contest!
