Crystal sequins on a golden gown
within the shadow of my soul
a bouquet to love again
dreamed in shade,
the lonely lane
winding home
my love tonight
our bed of roses,
sprinkled perfume
delightful kisses sweet,
moonlight a blanket blue
promised never to be alone
with a diamond ring from Dad
signaling a golden marriage,
love bound until eternity
old and grey that day
with a lovely bouquet.

disastrous deforestation in mountains crumble,
under that dead weight with man’s desecration
with too much money the many worries to care.

an assembly of shadows gather to mourn the loss of realism,
swirling and screaming around with this spectral jealousy
rifts and shrills of laughter weep in another dimension.
The cascades of grief slide down walls of alien fortitude
then somewhere in the nameless town a little boy dies alone,
waking a dream seeing those wooden horses on a quiet carousel

In the moment in time one glass of wine before I get ready,
I have the food, the wine and a big smile for my date,
before long there is a knock at the door by Steve
