Simply a sweet poem. Dancing is a nice subject to write about. I like the opening, I can almost hear you singing these words out beckoning for the partner you want to come hither and dance. Your plot is developed and I really like the last two lines of your third verse. A fitting closing verse. I somehow sense loneliness here, or maybe a bit of wishing. I enjoyed!

I really felt sad that the puppet was alone and so lonely and only death set her free. I somehow wonder if this might not be an analogy. Your writing is very well done. You have given feeling in this poem. A nice job.

Hi Funnyface here again.This poem here made me smile, yea this is certainly what a internet date could be about. I like the last line. Many people seem to use the internet to meet people and some have ended up married., but I bet there is more that ends up like the words here in this poem.

I appreciate this poem, it reminds me of spring, of nature and of children. You started this poem off with great descriptive writing, the big white house, chain fence and lawns wider greener and etc. Vivid details as you tell us how she cared for these lawns. A lovely strong ending.

Hello Jeff, this is Funnyface. I just read this poem and I think it is great, I think it is the best I read today, Your poem has vivid imagery. I can picture you by the lake with the seagulls soothing your eyes and the ducks being sweet. Your closing verse is excellent.

Snowflakes are falling outside, winds are blowing and I might loose my electrical. The lights went out for just a few minutes. I like this picture you painted on a writing scroll.I can picture your "tear of joy." Great job with descriptive writing. Vivid imagery.
A sincere love poem. I n each line I read I feel your love for this special girl. I especially smiled at the two last lines.They say love is patience, i guess you will need to have patience until she makes up her mind. I hope that things work out nicely for you. I have lost two brothers to cancer, my youngest brother had colon cancer, my oldest brother had stomach cancer, but it had spreaded throughout his body. Having been a smoker for years I expect to hear sometime that I have it. I am so sorry! I do want to say your poem is beautifully written yet heart touching!
Good morning Ta. I can only imagine the fear you must have had when you heard the word cancer. I expect someday to hear it as I smoked for years, gave them up now. You were so very brave to go through treatments of radiation and surgery. I hope you are now cancer free. Thanks for sharing this personal experience with us.

Your story brought back memories of a collie my hubby had when we married, He looked like Lassie. He developed a lump on his neck. It was cancer, we had him operated and he died less than three weeks later. We have had several dogs since then, but that had been my husbands buddy through out his young years so a favorite, I know how heart breaking it was for you, and I am so sorry!

How she/he must love going in the woods with you. I am sure she tells you "I am here with you, don't be lonely". Loneliness is a plague that hits all ages and all walks of life. Loneliness are all the things you have listed or the results of being lonely are. I know one can be in a crowd and yet still feel lonely. it knows no bounds, it affects little ones, tots, preschool age, elementary school, junior high kids, seniors straight on to seniors in their golden years. It can affect each person differently but it is not a nice thing to endure. I really am sorry you are feeling lonely. I hope being on this site might help you as you get to know more people. A great write about a subject we all have felt at one time or another. I am here if I can help.

I know the fright you must have receive thinking your dog has gone. I had a dog years ago who had seizures. I can't tell you how many times he scared our children or us to pieces. He lived seven years after starting the seizures. There can not be a topic that touches people's heart more than that of an animal. Great job writing this.

Your poem is very sad indeed.Poor Bobby Ford was sad and blue as well. It is so unfortunate that he couldn't have fit in with the others. Not to be accepted can make a strong lad cry for death. I smiled as I read the love poems you composed for your girl. It brought lovely memories back to my younger days.My hubby and I celebrated our 48th anniversary Sunday the 35th. So it was younger years. You two can and might make it. She might accept your marriage proposal. I love you closing your poem that way,asking her to marry you. I was drawn to read your by the title and brief description. I am so sorry you are going through this heart ache now. Love is so beautiful when two people care for each other, Every little thing brings pleasure and happiness. When love goes sour it is heart wrenching and it always seems one suffers more than the other. You certainly deserved the respect of being told that it was over.
Don't be afraid to love again. You deserve to be treated like a fine piece of china,one to be treasured, protected and cherished. You will fine someone that will treat you like this. Don't let him hold his control over you.Hugs of comfort.
