A very good item to read. It gave sufficient info to interest the reader without getting too bogged down with a bunch of minutia concerning details of soil, PH levels, types of bushes etc. Weaving in the story line how the gardener can use the plantings to enlist the help of neighborhood children makes a lot of sense and shows practical examples of how plants and shrubs can be used. I enjoyed reading this story and recommend it to others.

I found this to be an interesting read. I had to read it twice to get the story line down. I liked that there were many variables in the run. It appeared that there was a sense of "fair play" between the humans and the wolves. It was good that the end was not clear. Could Jacob run fast enough or outwit Cedric? Would he earn the favor? I also wondered what happened to the humans who were caught? Do they still negotiate wages? ...but less.

A very interesting tale. I liked the device of having Jack's ally only named in part. It then becomes clear as the story unfolds that Daniel is the famous warrior of old. It's always nice when good can out best evil. The use of the body chasing the head adds some comedic touch to the story. By leaving the dark figure Aku still plotting to challenge Jack - the door is left open for another story or chapter in this story.

An interesting read. I feel like I need to re-read it so I get some of the "moving around" of the characters between real time and the fantasy time. It uses lots of good references to real weapons. Unfortunately, I do not know many of the characters from the movies or the plots of the movies they have appeared in. I will read it again and try to follow the story line.

Review of My Sister

A very touching tribute to what sounds like your best friend. It sounds like she's always been there for you. It's interesting how life's circumstances can test and change the relationships we have with others - especially those in our nuclear family. You've been fortunate to have a sister like her.

As it's near Xmas time, I thought I'd read this again. 4 across should be beard no "E" next to last letter. 6 across should be "were" there not was there.
Just trying to help with the grammar. This would be a great gift to a 5th or 6th grade teacher for extra credit work. I enjoyed working on the puzzle and it brought back some older memories of when I was a child. Thanks for writing this.

Review of The Last Guardian

A great read. I was thinking all along of pre-historic man facing an unknown foe - perhaps severe cold and ice. The ending was a complete surprise. The use of compassion for Denk the last to carry on the race was great planning. The fact that she was female and the story line lead me to assume she was human. It never crossed my mind to think of another form of life. I really enjoyed this story. Well done!

Great Poem. I am not familiar wilth all the books. However, I have read one and heard several of the series described in great detail. I enjoyed the one that I read. Your tribute to the author is very sincere and accurate as to his many attributes. I thought you captured the essential Brian Jacques very well.

Big Bad Wolf,
This was an interesting piece. I had to read it over twice to fully understand the story. Humans, Ligers, and Tigons working together against the undead. The human Sergeant was really a hero. He turned down promotions (money & status) in the military to help train and defend his soldiers. Thomas was also a humble soldier who was not looking for promotion. I wish I had seen such fine examples of leadership while I served. I enjoyed the piece.

Very good and concise review of the film. You captured the main points of the plot and characters. I liked the end of your review where you cautioned parents to NOT let their young children to watch this film. It is an interesting adult action adventure - if you don't mind all the gore. Your suggestions for the children's film was outstanding.

Review of Planet Earth

A very rich poem about the earth. It is evocative of many senses of our planet. From seeing, hearing, and feeling different facets of the orb - one can get quite a wide variety of pictures in the minds eye. I particularly enjoyed the description of the rain. Without all the life it would be a dead planet. Well done.

Interesting story. I don't know a lot about the living dead, but am familiar with the Tremors cast. It's well written but rather sad. The description of the various weapons was very well done. I guessed that it would come down to Rick and Burt. Too bad that using their intelligence they could not have avoided a Hatfield/McCoy type mutual destruction.

This is a very raw subject. It is well done, concise, makes the point. I liked the narrative after the poem. I hope you have found that work which must be very rewarding.

This piece has a quality that makes the reader see the clouds. I like the notion that the clouds are "clothing" the peaks and protecting them. Very nice story. Are Anser geese a species or just a color?

Review of Ladybug Girl

A great memory to share. It's amazing what we can remember from years ago. The description of the sky, trees, and of course the Ladybug were great. The spelling and grammar appeared to be well done. I can't think of anything to improve the story. It was very touching. Just a thought: see if you can replicate the scenario today!

I feel like the fish would evoke the other components, the lake, worms, pole, family members etc. I still enjoyed how all the memories were connected - be it through sound, sight, smell etc.

I particularly enjoyed the ending. The family gathered is what makes the special food really special. The cranberry would not normally be warm to the touch.

This poem captures a part of life in Jamestown that is long gone. I never witnessed the old plows, but your poem captures a glimpse into a rare footnote into Jamestown's past.

You may want to include a category of western protagonists who are related to each other and generally are fighting for "good", but often to help each other (family) and/or a victim (young child or woman who is alone). Example would be the "Sackett" series by Louis Lamour.

Still an interesting poll. Makes you think about what interests you the most.

It's sad that you never heard how the boy fared after the accident. I also wonder if the police wanted to interview you. It took courage to act, especially being so young.

The story kept my attention. The introduction of other characters who are known to wolves, gives it a sense of "trueness". I enjoyed the twists in the plot. Overall a very good read.
