Although I didn't follow the story from the start, my analysis suggests that it's more beneficial to explore the motive behind a story than to focus solely on the right moves. Right motives should determine the right moves. See the total picture before you conclude.

The write-up is educative, explaining the difference between 'binary' and 'non-binary'. The introduction was straight to the point.

... the pronouns they/them should have been written "they or them." The repeated use of 'thought' and 'about' could have avoided redundancy.

Overall, the write-up is simplistic, comprehensible and apt.
