Driving down the road, I often watch trees. I do this because I see tees as one of God's most awesome creation, with their branches lifted up tpwards the sky, as though they are reaching for their creator, or some, their branches sweeping low to the ground, as though they are bowing. I see God in the trees...and everything else around us. It is hard to imagine a God that is distant, when He has put so much love into all that He has created. This article on panentheism underlines that belief in a loving God who is a part of us all, while drawing the difference between panentheism and pantheism, a similar word, with a VERY different look at God. I must confess, when I first saw your title, I was confused thinking you meant the latter and I am glad you included the definition, showing the difference. Thank you for sharing this. I can see no room for improvement.
A very unusual storm on a very unusual day. The image of the hike was vivid in my mind and I love the way you described the terrain and the color. The silence before the storm was so well described, I could feel how oppressive it was. Thank for sharing this with us all.
This is a wonderful poem that depicts how cruel life can be for an animal to be caged. I have always felt that an animal as magnificent as a tiger should be allowed to be in its natural habitat and this poem shows how when caged the animal will try to win back his freedom. Thank you for sharing this.
Oh, that is too funny! I don't know what it is about embarassing stories, but we all have one and we all enjoy hearing one. . .as long as it's not about yours truely. Thank you for being brave enough to share this and for giving me an enjoyable read.
This story about a young orphan boy takes you into the heart of Jeremy, who longs to be adopted. Written from his view point the reader is allowed to feel the longingJeremy has for a family and the worry he feels that he will never find one. Readers will find themselves rooting for him as he does all that he can to present himself to a potential new mother.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and can find no room for improvement.
It is sometimes hard to remember, with all that is going on in our lives, that God is here, watching and caring and helping us along the way. But He is and this devotional is just the reminder many of us need. I love the image of the ant and the perspective that puts on our lives. Good luck with getting it published and thank you for sharing this with all of us here.
This poem is about love and all the feelings one experiences with love and especially with new love,
You're the only person on my mind when I awake; I can't wait to hear your voice on the phone.
Sounds so familiar. Who hasn't experienced this at the beginning of new love.
I think the rhyme and rhythm is a bit off, but that can be fixed with just a little work. Also, perhaps a little elaboration in a few areas. (I'm sorry for hurting you the way that I did) leaves the reader wondering how he had been hurt. (I don't want to be that person anymore) what kind of person was that? Love makes us want to strive to be better than we are. How has this experience changed you for the better?
Thank you for sharing this with us. It's not easy putting a poem so filled with emotion out there.
The author of this piece writes of lonliness and dispair and in a few of the lines I feel has captured the essence of depression.
Now...
I walk alone.
I cry alone.
I am alone.
The character feels isolated.
The character pleads to the Dream Catcher
"Keep any fleeting dreams of happiness I may have had, safe for me. Deliver them to me as I slumber, so I have known happiness for a brief moment before the darkness takes me and pushes me off balance."
A perfect examle of how when we can't find happiness in reality we will search for it in our dreams.
A very well written tale. Throughout the nightmare I was caught up in wondering what it was you were so vigilantly looking for and various images filled my head as to what it might be. The ending was superb as the horror of what was about to happen took on a new face. THank you so much for sharing this nightmare with us.
Caution: If you love chocolate, reading this WILL make your mouth water! The author of this delectable
treat has so described the process of eating a box of candy that one can almost taste the creamy fillings.
Very well written. Now, I need to go and find some chocolate!
There seems to be no soul to this poem. Sorry. It just doesn't speak of the emotions one feels before a first kiss. Yes, their eyes meet, but then what? Gentle, subtle caresses grace emotions, but which emotions. What is the heart doing? The stomache. How does the subject feel? I don't get any of that from this.
Normally I would have read this, shook my head and gone on, especially since you sound like someone wanting an argument. Instead, curious, I clicked over to your port to see what else you might write about and got my biggest laugh of the day when I read in your bio block, Beware the self-anointed MORALLY SUPERIOR! Apparently you don't see how that may apply to you.
This is a cute poem, though I think the rhythm is off a bit when it gets to the hula hula part, but all in all, I like it. I can picture little kids at a party doing a hula type dance while chanting this rhyme.
This is a cute childrens poem that puts being a witch in perspective. The rhyme and rhythm is great and is sure to entertain children and get their imagination going about what they would ride, if they were a witch.
Neglected homework, wondering mind...sounds like my daughter, only it's drawing on her mind. The rhyming is good, though the rhythm is a bit off, but judging from this piece, your English should be getting a good grade.
Thank you for entering my contest! I loved your poem and it expressed in so many ways how thankful we should be for God's unconditional love and all that He does for us.
Halloween may be over, but I still love reading Halloween poems and this one has great rhythm and rhyme. It's sure to be a fun read for children and adults.
