Hello, your story was an interesting reading piece. I believe you have a great start to expand upon. This is an important story that could teach important parenting techniques or a great fictional piece about what struggles the children endure as they grow up and the consequences they had to face. One thing about writing, when you are comparing between a set of two characters and your first set is called number one (be sure to spell out any numbers under one hundred and you can use digits for any number over that) be sure that the second set is called number two. I have great respect for poetry and wish to someday become proficient at it. I must say that I had somewhat of a difficult task remaining in the main idea of your writing, but I think that was just me. You do paint a wonderful portrait of your main idea. This is a very touching and sentimental poem. I enjoyed reading it and shared it with my daughter (she's 10). I like your writing style and I believe your poetry is well written. I like your style and in this day and time with so many soldiers being away from their "loves" the timing is very appropriate, though it can be applied to many situations.
